The research problem was clearly identified. The aim of the study was to explore the use and success of pharmacological and no pharmacological strategies and to determine whether there is a relationship between use and success of strategies, on the one hand, and adults ' gender, age, income or education( Homsey, M., & O’Connell, K. (2012). This research has significance in nursing because the information can be used by nurses or doctors to help patient guide patient in choosing the appropriate strategies that will help them with their sleep problems and also contribute to reducing the risks of comorbid illness and health care costs. The research explained factors that contribute to insomnia and different methods that people use to treat insomnia. The research also revealed that what works for one individual may not necessarily work for the other.
The literature revealed that there are so much information and ideas that relate to the research problem. According to research people background, traditions, and personal influence plays a huge role when it comes to their choices and strategies they choose to deal with their sleep problems. The study described the use and perceived success of pharmacological and nonpharmacological sleep strategies by individuals who have insomnia It also explores the possible relationship between strategy and choices and success to gender, income age and educations( Homsey, M., & O’Connell, K.
