Introduction It is interesting to make a comparative study in the field of nursing care for the ill patients. Every human being in this world is a creation of God. He was created in the image of God that is in perfect health. But due many reasons that perfect health is lost. The person is polluted, the environment is contaminated. The duty of the medical field is to help one to find that health. 1. Health Health is considered as wealth of the human beings in this world. Some are born healthy and keep up that health throughout their life whereas some born unhealthy and later bring up health. Christianity Jesus reads from the book of prophet Isaiah, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed” (Lk 4, 18). He always in his ministry went around healing the sick. Once a leper asked Jesus, “If you will, you can make me clean.” Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, “I will; be clean.” And immediately his leprosy was cleansed" (Lk 8, 2”3). Jesus tells in yet another occasion that “Those who are well have no need of physician, but those who are sick” (Mt 9, 12). The sick are to be taken to the hospital, where health care providers are there to see to it. That is why nursing is considered as a religious vocation. It is basically a Christian contribution to the world that there are separate people trained to take care of the sick. It began as a homely affair where womenfolk take care of the sick.
