The Finch Family In To Kill A Mockingbird By Harper Lee

Satisfactory Essays
The Finch family was a very respected family in Maycomb. Atticus Finch is the father and he is very well thought of in the community. He spends time trying to teach his children, Jem and Scout, how to be kind and caring toward others. The children sometimes struggle with this concept like when Scout gets in a fight with Bob Ewell’s son. The children learn a valuable lesson from the Tom Robinson Trial when he is found guilty. They know he is innocent but the jury saw otherwise just because Tom was a colored man. This gave the children a new outlook on the people of Maycomb.
