The general definition of the Force The Force is one of the most important and intriguing elements in series. According to the Wookieepieda, "The Force was an energy field that connects all living things in a galaxy." Moreover, Obi-Wan Kenobi, a skillful and prestigious Jedi Master, describes that "The Force is what gives a Jedi his power. It is an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us; it binds the galaxy together." Both of statements focus on "energy field ", "all living things ", and "in Galaxy". So, if The Force is an "energy field, " it could be the fifth fundamental force(Strong nuclear force, weak nuclear force, electromagnetic force, and gravitation are four fundamental forces in our universe) …show more content…

The Jedi Knight, the best representation of the light side, devoted to defending the safety of the Public. Master Yoda once defined the duty of the Jedi--"A Jedi uses the Force for knowledge and defense. Never for attack." The follower of the light side thinks they should use the Force in a harmonious way and for the benevolent and good purposes. Practitioners of the light side are considered to be "Stoics"-they engage in controlling their feelings, especially the negative feelings via "mediation." Anakin Skywalker, when he had not turned the dark side yet, described the light side of the Force--"Attachment is forbidden; possession is forbidden. Compassion, which I would define as unconditional love, is essential to a Jedi's life. " However, considering that Jedi Knights frequently fight with the evil, it is impossible for them to keep "totally calm and benevolent." Negative emotions like anger and aggression naturally come, but Jedi Knights in the late Republic period just regarded these emotions unconditionally unacceptable.
