Intro:
The Gift of Fear was a great book and I would like to review it. First off, The Gift of Fear is old, but is a great book to this day. Although it was pretty good, it had some major flaws and had some run on sentences. It sometimes felt like it dragged on and there were some chapters that it really did not need in it…
Brief Summary of Book:
The book was long, interesting, and had a fascinating style of voice. It taught me many life lessons like how to stay out of fights and not start them. The book impacted me in a very big way. Because of this book, I changed my day to day behaviour. I thought that there were some unnecessary pages and chapters but, overall, it was great. Here are some survival signals, JACA (which is an acronym),

Major Questions Raised by the Author, Description of it’s characters, Setting and Plot:
I don't really recall any major questions. Most of the questions were immediately answered or rhetorical. There may have been a few questions but there were so few, I can’t remember any. This book was a psychology book so it was non-fiction.
Who Would I Recommend this Book Too?
I would recommend The Gift of Fear to people who are bullied a lot, bullies, and people that easily get in a fight. I would recommend it to them because it is a helpful book and might decrease violence. It taught me many lessons and I think everyone should read it in their lifetime so they can learn them too. The biggest lesson is make your enemies allies. You don’t have to like them, you just have to get
What stood out to me in this book was the timeframe of the abuse and how severe the abuse was. I read the book all in one sitting and although it was only a little over ninety pages, it felt much long. With all the marks and other
In the novel Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe, the theme of the power of fear
I think that the book is very well written. James Baldwin has done a really good job. There were no unnecessary descriptions or something else that bores you. The book was also very easy to read. The language isn’t very hard.
Totalitarian governments oppress the weak through techniques such as fear. Using fear they can manipulate the behaviour of the masses to their will. Fear is an effective means of control in 1984, but not in V for Vendetta, and this lead to the party in 1984 maintaining its power, as opposed to the party in V for Vendetta. To start with, the secret police force in 1984 had only the Inner Party’s motives in mind, whereas the Norsefire’s police force were selfish and corrupt. This lead to the downfall of Norsefire party and the success of the Inner Party.
Do all living things fear something? Those with minds surely have many and various fears, but even the simplest organisms must have fear, for fear is such a powerful feeling. Fear is all around us and is felt in every corner of the earth. Fear is the emotion or feeling that a living creature gets when its physical or mental life is interrupted by a change that causes the creature concern.
This book was a pretty great book. It laid out the plot really well and the message was clear. It showed the characters pain and other emotions really
I Also appreciate how "easily complex" the book was written. It's not too simple to that the reader can just understand from reading the sentence once and its not too difficult to where you're lost and stuck. Its well balanced and actually makes you "think." The fact that the book dwells into things regular people wouldn’t normally pay attention to makes this book an even enjoyable
Throughout history many communities have been persecuted for being different from the general public. Society has often forced these unique individuals to assimilate or be constrained because of the public's fear and anxiety of the unknown. Such insecurities led to the mistreatment and restraint of both the slaves as portrayed in Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl and the mental patients in One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest.
After, the book was over I decided that overall this book was good. The book had lots of changes, surprises, and shocking events. The book grabbed my attention and it also had something new going on at all times. It really spoke to me and I would read it again. If you read the book you could learn the story of friendship, love, and
I agree that this novel about Ray’s journey of finding his way to overcome his fear and to understand the true meaning of life. He started to see the world in different aspect. He learned how to embrace the world and feel the confidence of facing new challenges in life. He has lost his egotism and learn how to considerate others.
As represented in Arthur Miller’s play The Crucible, fear played an important role and is exploited by the characters in the play. The Crucible beings with a group of girls accusing people of witchcraft for their selfish benefit.Fear is an emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to inflict pain , or a threat. Fear is an emotion that is capable of overtaking and controlling one’s state of mind and well being. However , fear can be used as a motivation factor. Fear influenced these people to take extreme measures and act irrationally. Additionally, fear is a master of suffering capable of haunting those who patronize it Moreover, in The Crucible this erratic emotion causes people to fear being labeled
I excessively enjoyed reading this book because it allows us to realize how we can negatively impact someone's life by even our most minuscule actions, consequently causing the victim to harm themselves, which leads us to think twice before acting. Furthermore, people often treat others unjustly not realizing the bountiful consequences which come along with it, however, after reading this book, it really makes you truly think about your actions. Consequently, this reassures that you would not make the same mistake that any of the individuals did in the book, allowing you to lead life without guilt. Additionally, I would recommend this book to adolescent high school students as in high school we tend to make numerous mistakes and mistreat
I really liked how Sean Covey wrote this book, it isn't just a straight chapter book. The book has a lot of information and he has many pictures and illustrations so you can picture things. I am a visual learner and I sometimes don't like reading a chapter book that is more informational and it was nice to have illustrations. I really liked reading this book because it made me change how I feel about some things in life. It made my mind think about how I was thinking about things and how I should have a more positive outlook in life. I think the author did achieve his purpose of writing this book and informing people because he gave a lot of good information and he was very good at describing many concepts in the book.
The only critique I have overall is on a couple entries, such as The Truth Shall Set You Free that just didn’t seem to hit the mark. He talks about getting out of a speeding ticket by telling the officer he has cancer. One can say that he achieves in delivering the message, but to me it just didn’t seem to fit the nerrative as a whole. It felt like an unnecessary jump cut in a smoothly edited film. Other than that, I found this book very impactful on multiple levels.
The Gift of Fear is all about how ways to spot if something is not right. It has a variety of different situations, and different ways to find out if something criminal is going to happen. This book gives a lot of information paired with stories that help you relate to what they are meaning. The stories help bring these things to life, because even though you read about bad things, it’s hard to fully understand that they could happen. Many people choose not to listen to their intuition.
