The challenging part is actually doing something about it, which is what I will include in my proposal to help get circumstances done. I am working on this because working there for long enough allows me to know how work is done out on the field and to see all the gaps where there is room for improvement. I want to make sure everybody working with the company is doing a phenomenal job at being security, not just a few of my coworkers and I. Sometimes the company is unable to see how coworkers are working since the supervisors and the ones in charge work in the office rather than working out on the field to see what needs improvement. Since I work out on the field, I am able to see the areas I feel make the company the weakest. The first idea that is needed to solve a large portion of the problems is to hire more people who are qualified. By doing so, higher standards need to be set when hiring people. T.E.A.M is a company that has never discriminated when hiring coworkers. It is great that we will hire people who cannot stand, people with disabilities, people who are older, etc. The problem is that when the new employees show up at the job, they complain that they are not able to do certain job requirements. For example, there are employees who end up hired that cannot stand up for long hours. The missing sentence here. This means that T.E.A.M needs to hire people that can stand up for hours at a time, or at least make people well aware
A). Lack of Teamwork and Conflict resoultion: In relation to the case, many of the recently hires employees are not including and not trusting/age discriminating Mr. Hill. Although, there were more older employees who were upset, Mr. Hill was the one who had a massive reduction in hours. He is now going to the HR Director and Executive Director. It is not unreasonable for networks to want to produce a show that is exciting for its audience. I understand lying is wrong and it was definitely unfair to the losers of the show but I really don't understand why it was such a big deal. Of course this is because I live in a different time. According to Ortmeier, “security may be defined as a public or private service-related activity that provides personnel, equipment, and creates policies and procedures designed to prevent or reduce losses. These losses, caused by criminal action as well as by noncriminal events resulting from human error, emergencies, man-made and natural disasters, and business intelligence collection by competitors”. Today, security is global and faces challenges and changes, with increases in terrorism and technology crimes. Famous people deserve privacy and respect. This essay will discuss the unfair treatment received by famous people from the media.
The American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) is today’s main association of private security. The year of 1955 is considered the beginning of the modern age of security. Private security was needed everywhere, in hospitals, hotels, retail etc… as stated in (chapter 2, P.38) that ‘’ Retail establishments, hotels, restaurants, theaters, warehouses, trucking companies, industrial companies, hospitals, and other institutional and service functions were all growing and facing a serious need to protect their property and personnel’’. After the events of 9/11, private security agencies were required to play more roles in crime prevention. Private security agencies were required to review and standardize their method of training and to review the pay of employees. Lot of recommendations have been made to improve the education and training, above all the extension of training time.
The first challenge is in the user domain. We must train our employees to ensure they are aware of the security policies. Employees need to understand the policies and how it aligns with business goals and mission statement. Another challenge in this area is handling of sensitive information and non-public customer identifying information. In order to be compliant we must have a training program in place that is in line with the regulations.
Customer needs- Customers need security guards onsite to protect employees and property of the customer from any threat or danger.
