Dear J.R.R Tolkien, I love your book tremendously. I have always been a fan of mythical and magical books. Your book have had a lot of drama where there were various ways to escape in certain circumstances and when Bilbo and his team were attacked multiple times. It also had a lot of suspense when they were nearly killed or eaten. I like how you made the part where Goblin King was murdered very descriptive. I was able to visualize what had actually happen in my mind and it was very exhilarating. This had happened a couple of time in the story but i didn’t like how Gollum was approaching Bilbo to eat him, it was very plain to me. But I love how you made them play a game where if one had failed to answer a riddle incorrectly, then either Bilbo
A hobbit is a small person. They’re the half size of a human body. They don’t wear shoes because their feet grow natural soles and thick warm brown hair. These hobbits live in hobbit holes, not like a dirty nasty hole with rats. A nice built small home with descent structure. There is this hobbit Bilbo Baggins that has two sides. His first side is the Baggins side where this side is respectful, wealthy, and descent. This other side of Bilbo Baggins is the Took side. The took side is very wealthier than the Baggins side. They are very respectful but don’t get any respect. The Took side never gets respect because they always go on adventures and hobbits are not suppose to go on adventures. And the Baggins side don’t respect either because go
e. Gollum: is a creature that Bilbo encounters in the caverns of the Goblins. Gollum has lost his birthday-present, the ring which Bilbo found. He is by far the strangest character because he doesn’t talk to people, he talks as though there were other people in the room. He also refers to himself in the third person.
This book was a fantastic read and I'm looking forward to read the next one. There were a lot of neat points that I could relate to in this text. Sometimes people won't believe you and you have to take action into your own hands or things will go really badly. I would so recommend this book to a lot of people who like Fantasy and really likable characters. This is probably one of the better books I've read in a long time and I really enjoyed every word of it. Plenty of action but not a whole lot, with a bunch of story mixed in what's not to
Dear, Rhidge I am writing you as I am getting on the Titanic my journey will start back home today I want you to know I will be there soon. How is it there is the weather nice? It is getting chilly here but we are on our way now. We almost just hit another boat on our way out of the port they say this is a “bad omen”. The Titanic is very nice inside it is like royalty we got first class seats very expensive! Hope school is going good! They don’t have enough lifeboats for everyone but the ship will not sink, afterall it is the “unsinkable”!
A man brought from South Africa Bloemfontein, to England in April,1895 will make a new era in writing .J.R.R. Tolkien was in fact one of the leading philologists of his day .He ushered in a new style of writing for writer’s during and after his time .He opened every ones eyes, he is the alter of the hand some call him .J.R.R. Tolkien was a philologist in the literal sense of the word: ’Lover of Language’.
I feel it's unusual because you normally order at most two boxes in a month.
The characters in this book were so good. The Blackthorn family were so tight and lovely. Honestly, *behind the Weasleys* the Blackthorns are one of my favorite book families. Also, I can't express how thorough the plot was. The entire book was planned very well, and I am EAGERLY waiting for the next book. It was just SO GOOD.
Tolkien was born on January 3, 1892, in Bloemfontein, South Africa to Mabel and Arthur Tolkien. Tolkien’s father died when he was only 4 years old but that didn’t stop Tolkien (www.bio.com). His mother took quite an initiative in Tolkien’s Development. After a few years Mabel died of diabetes mellitus type 1. After her death he attended King Edward’s School and formed a secret society (collegecrunch.org). Tolkien was known as a catholic. He was a fierce anti-Communist and he shunned Nazism. The reason for this is because one he was catholic and two he had friends that were Jewish (collegecrunch.org)
In this essay I will be discussing my personal opinion on The Hobbit. The story unfolds about a timid, fearful hobbit embarking on a journey with dwarves who are seeking revenge on a dragon named Smaug. He took their home and whilst doing so killed many of their loved ones. This novel is about an ordinary and common person who through strife and persistence becomes a hero and does extraordinary things. This main character is Bilbo Baggins. Gandalf persuades him to set off on a great journey in which they will face much peril. In the face of danger Bilbo overcomes his fear and finds an inner strength which he has never encountered before. This helps him to finish the journey and proves Gandalf's claim which he made at the beginning of the novel
When Ralph and Piggy first crashed into the island, I like how you had them meet right away. That was a way for them to start bonding early on in the book. The conch… when they found the conch and called everyone to an assembly, it was a moment of unity that was slowly lost throughout the book. How you had everyone go out in their own ways was an interesting twist to put on the failing unity. Ralph was my favorite but when you had Jack go off and form his own tribe, it showed how Jack wasn’t afraid to do his own thing. I also like how you had Ralph become the victim and everyone wanting to kill him.
After reading this book I’ve finally come to agree with all the high praise Brandon Sanderson gets from his work. The characters were awesome, the story was so well done, and the mysteries and magic made the book even greater.
In conclusion, this book is spectacular. It belongs with LOTR in the bookshelf of classics. Tolkien’s literary genius and the brilliant editing of Christopher Tolkien has carried this book a long way, concluding the first age with the War of Wrath and several other conclusions to several chapters, and deserves to be reread after the first reading. It may be difficult to read, but it is
My favorite author is J.R.R. Tolkien and my favorite Tolkien book is The Hobbit because of its subtle humor and character development. I have a strong interest in history, especially the Late Modern period. My interest in history was one of the driving factors in my pursuit of a minor in Anthropology. I enjoy perusing museums, especially ones that have an emphasis on social history and culture. Since my first visit to a local planetarium, I became captivated by astronomy and the incomprehensibility of outer space. Two years ago, I saw my favorite astrophysicist, Neil deGrasse Tyson, at a speaking event at the University of Florida. I am planning on reading his book, Origins, in the coming week.
I can relate to not always agreeing with my brother, like Leo and Hollis. My brother and I don't always get along, but most of the time we are nice to each other. I like the way that you made Leo and Diana meet up in Borneo. I also think that adding Mr. Signh to the story, gave the story more mystery. How you made Leo and the others visit the village Buyong Ku really moved be because Leo got to walk in his dad's steps. I learned that you should be grateful of what you have. I hope the next book is as good as the last two.
I would like to conclude by saying that this novel The Lord of the Rings has inspired many spin off works, including several games as well. The enormous popularity of Tolkien’s epic saga has greatly expanded the demand for fantay novels, largely thanks to the Lord of the Rings. It is an an extraordinary work, grandly conceived, brilliantly executed and wildly entertaining novel of Tolkien .In the whole novel we see that it 's a hobbit 's dream, a wizard 's delight. And, of course, it 's only the beginning. The language used in this novel is very simple and easy to understand by people. In short this novel has won the hearts of many .This novel is a must read. I see this novel as a near perfect: It 's one of the best fantasy novel ever written. The story just revolves around the Ring which is created by a Dark lord, Sauron. It has brought the supernaturalism in such a way that we could clearly make out where is the supernaturalism used.
