World War 2, one of the worst times our earth has been in, The war also caused the Holocaust. The killing of over 6 million Jews. One of them being Anne Frank, an innocent 13 year old girl who went into hiding. After they got caught everybody wants to know what happened to them in the horrible Natzi concentration camps, but what happened to their helpers that retrieved food, brought books and special requests. Now i'm going to tell you. All 5 of the helpers survived. Nobody is left today. Miep died 5 years ago at age 100. Without her the story of Anne Frank may have never been known. She found all the ripped up pages of the diary and put them in her drawer and when Mr. frank returned she gave it to him, then he published it.When Mr. Frank proposed
Well I think if Anne would of died the diary would not get published and it would not be famous like it is know. I feel like nothing would've happened if she lived with the journal. This was like good because it got published and people got too here the story of her life. Even know she ain't here u can still read her diary the is pretty indepth. I thought the book was pretty good. So I think she did live beyond her death because people all over the world red it and it makes you realize how good our life is now. I think anne had a pretty good life during the holocaust because at least she was with her family instead of like being in a different place without you family. If they would of survived the war oi think anne would of just kept the diary
Sit back, and imagine this: you’re sitting on a hard mattress. You can smell the smoke. The screams and tears of adults and children, just the same, fill the dirty air you breathe. Outside, acres upon acres of barbed wire and fortified walls. Platforms, cremation ovens, gallows, and gas chambers. The year is 1945, January 27th to be exact. This is a day that will be remembered for years to come. This is the day that the prisoners at camp Auschwitz being held by Nazi German soldiers were liberated.
Millions and Millions of Jews were killed during this event including a little girl named Anne Frank. She was born on June 12, 1929, in Frankfurt, Germany; Anne Frank lived in Amsterdam with her family during World War II. Trying to stay away from Nazi persecution of Jews, the family went into hiding for two years; during this time, Frank wrote about her experiences and wishes. She was 15 when the family was found and sent to the concentration camp, where she died. The Diary of Anne Frank was a big success and was read by millions. “Despite everything, I believe people are good at heart.” (Frank). I strongly agree with Anne because most people do the stuff they do to get attention, and the cause of that could be from their parents not giving them attention as a kid, so if you think about it it’s not their
“Anne Frank is a Jewish girl who has to go into hiding during World War Two to escape from the Nazis … After more than two years in hiding they are discovered and deported to concentration camps … After her death Anne becomes world famous because of the diary she wrote while in hiding” (annefrank.org). Anne Frank was a young girl who had a bright future, but it was taken away from her by the Nazi’s and Holocaust. Before the Holocaust, Anne Frank was just the typical young girl. During the Holocaust, she had to adapt to a dangerous situation. Then, after her death, she has left a legacy that has impacted the hearts of many. Through Anne Frank’s early childhood years, the years during the Holocaust, and the years after her death she has left
The holocaust began in 1933. Adolf Hitler was a man who wanted great power and to do so he put others below him, making them a “lesser” kind of human than what he was. In 1933 approximately nine million Jews lived in the 21 countries of Europe that later on would be surrounded with SS soldiers. In this tragic event, many people were killed and used for experiments. Not just Jews, but also homosexuals, disabled people, people that were ill and Catholics.
"The Holocaust did not [just] happen because the German people...demanded it, but rather because a widely popular dictator and his fanatical followers planned it, because the country's elite shared enough of Nazi anti- Semitism to participate in the killing and because the rest of the country looked the other way." The Holocaust was a tragedy that occurred in the early 1940’s and has forever been remembered. The Holocaust is known worldwide as the genocide of roughly six million European Jews during World War II emphasizing an execution that was by the German Nazi leader Adolf Hitler. Nevertheless, the Holocaust has been involved throughout Germany's history in having an impact in the lives of those who were involved in the tragedy and the
On January 30, 1933, Adolf Hitler won the heart of president Paul von Hindenburg who appointed him to chancellor of Germany, but little did he understand this decision would later cost Germany over 6 million deaths and the title of the largest genocide in the world. This genocide was directed toward those who were Jewish who were persecuted or forced into labor because of this. Among the Jews at this time, the Frank and Van Pels family along with a friend inhabited an annex that was attached to Otto Frank’s business. Inhabiting this annex in order to escape the grasp of the Nazi’s would ultimately affect each person in a different way. While hiding in the “Secret Annex” Anne Frank and the other Jews suffered through the poor conditions of the hiding spot and were affected physically,
The holocaust was very sad, during world war ll Adolf Hitler thought that Germany should be a racial infirmary. Also he did not think that disabled people deserve a life. He kicked out the jews and many more people that were not germane.
It is easy to say that the Holocaust ravaged Europe itself, but it is worth noting that without Anne’s diary, understanding what the Jews went through would be insurmountably hard. We take our freedom of religion for granted, but when we examine Anne’s diary, our world that we live in is full of obscenity, and despite the havoc, Anne still continues to hope for the end. Her diary left a legacy that gives us invaluable knowledge of what went wrong in our time on earth, to both Anne and history itself. Learning from our mistakes doesn’t fix our future; it only stops us from doing the same actions again, and in doing so, we can shape the world into what Anne envisions: “I still believe, in spite of everything, that people are really good at heart.”
For some, it seems that the Holocaust was just a killing of Jews, but for others it will be something they will never forget. The holocaust was a genocide in which six million Jews were killed by Adolf Hitler’s Nazi army in Germany. The Nazi’s belived that Germans were “racially superior” while the Jews deemed inferior and were a threat to the German community. Coming just two decades after the last World War the Second World War was the most widespread and deadliest war in history, involving multiple countries. The countries that were Allies were Britain, France, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, India, Soviet Union (Russia), China, and USA. And the Axis power which were Germany, Italy, and Japan. From 1941 to 1945, Jews were murdered in
Have you ever feared for your life or worried you will never see your family again because you’re a different race? This happened to 6 million Jews in 1933 when Hitler took over and the holocaust begins. In 1933, May, any books written by Jews, political dissidents and other not approved by state were burned. In 1935 Nuremberg laws passed which meant Jews were no longer considered citizens. Next 1936, August no Jews were allowed to hang Jewish signs. On July 1937 the Buchenwald concentration camps were open. In 1938 November Kristallnacht began. That is where all Jews were forced to transfer retail business to Aryan hands and all pupils expelled from German schools. The hatred toward Jews, and Hitler’s youth are three main roots as to how the Holocaust could happen.
"I don't think of all the misery but of the beauty that still remains." By Anne Frank. This quote is by Anne Frank, she is a very important person who was in The Holocaust. The Holocaust is a very important moment in history. The Holocaust is the persecution and murders of Gypsies, the mentally retarded, the physically disabled, homosexuals, and the Slavic people. The Holocaust is also known as the persecution of Jews. The Nazis thought that this was the 'Final Solution to the Jewish Problem' so it exterminates all Jews in Europe. The Nazis has Jews get deported to concentration camps to be starved or gassed to death. The four main points will be the start of The Holocaust, the important people, concentration camps, and the ending of The Holocaust.
Anne Frank and Martin Luther King Jr. were born in the same year, yet people associate them as being in completely separate parts in history. Anne Frank was a woman who went through the horrors of the holocaust and wasn’t lucky enough to survive the brutality and torture. When you look back on the accounts of treatment of the people in the concentration camps, you see more stories about the men’s lives. People seem to only hear about the men, but what about the women and how they were treated during this time as well. Women had it worse than men during the holocaust because they were more susceptible to rape, they were immediately brutalized and killed for being pregnant, and they were killed for simple
Anne Frank’s diary is known all over the world. She was in hiding for 2 years, and she wrote in her diary. Writing was one of her hobbies. There is more than just one of Anne Frank’s writings. It is very impressive of being such a big symbol about the holocaust, writing about your life in hiding. But there are plenty of other pieces of work she has done. She has written many short stories, letters and poems of her own; during the time she was in hiding, and before that. Anne Frank has always loved to write. There are also parts taken out of her diary, different editions of books that had changed her diary. Anne Franks other writings are connected to language arts in many different ways. I think she is a real world-class artist writing a
The Anne Frank story is a very impactful story. This true story is told through young Anne Frank in her journal entries that she wrote almost everyday. Anne wrote in her journal in hiding with several other people during the holocaust. Anne Frank was the underdog of the group. Anne was always overlooked and treated like just an average girl, although she was something great. This story has impacted a lot of people throughout the entire world.
