He is an athletic medium build male with long blonde hair but though he is considered a sweetheart, he is a grumpy drunk. He is a medium height, stocky build with ashy blonde hair and blue eyes. Peeta changes his attitude, thoughts, and feelings every time something changes no matter how small. When he was in his small town, he resented the capitol and the hunger games; But before he had even gotten off the train he was already enjoying the fame. The Capitols people were so excited to see the tributes, and Peeta quickly started to love the Capitol public. 6. Stereotypical, Ned Leeds, from Spiderman Homecoming (movie) Ned is a short, fat, Asian American kid with messy black hair and brown eyes. He is nerdy and extremely curious of his hero and set friend Spider-Man. Ned Leeds is the stereotypical nerdy sidekick who is never on field duty but is always in the protagonist's ear giving them key information or is the one telling the hero how to defuse the bomb. They refer to Ned (and Ned himself) many times in the movie as the “guy in the chair”. 7. Round, Gatsby, from The Great Gatsby (the novel). Gatsby is a medium height medium build man with slick back blonde hair and sharp blue eyes. He is always dressed in a nice

In the novel The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, the main character and protagonist is 16 year old Katniss Everdeen, a strong and selfless young woman who is far more mature than her age suggests. As the main provider for her family after her father died, Katniss had to become responsible and resourceful at a young age, which forced her to participate in rebellious behavior in order to keep her family alive. She is an unselfish and protective character, putting herself in danger in order to keep the ones she loves safe, especially for her little sister Primrose. Even after the pain and hardships she has had to go through not only in the games, but in her life, Katniss maintains her

Identity and reality are both often skewed and/or compromised to meet the needs and wants of a person or platform. More often than not do people and markets put on fronts to be perceived in a certain way to gain favor in the public eye. They adapt because they have to in order to stay afloat in the ever changing world of fleeting beauty and immediate gratification. The world of Panem in The Hunger Games is not much different, in fact, it’s more similar than not. In the novel The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, Collins uses construction and manipulation of the authenticity of the characters to show that identity evolves to fit the demands of the prevailing reality.
The Hunger Games written by Suzanne Collins delineates that there are times when people believe that all hope is lost but only those who are strong will persevere through their darkest moments. Suzanne Collins portrays the theme throughout the novel with the main protagonist, Katniss Everdeen, as she struggles to endure her daily life and the annual Hunger Games. Collins displays the prodigious amount of persistence of Katniss Everdeen and her comrade, Peeta Mellark, which allows them to survive throughout the Hunger Games.
In the novel “The Hunger Games” Suzanne Collins conveys the qualities of a hero through the main character Katniss Everdeen. The novel is based around a dystopian nation, in which is placed in Panem. Through which a boy and a girl from each district must take part in ‘The Hunger Games’ where they have to fight to the death, until there is one survivor. Katniss subsequently evolves as a significant hero portraying the heroic qualities such as selflessness, identity change and intelligence. Selflessness is shown as she puts others before herself, her identity changes as she has to put up a brave face, and intelligence is displayed as her strategies progress in the games.
“We had to save you because you're the Mockingjay, Katniss, says Plutarch. While you live, the revolution lives” (Collins). Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games is a complex character who epitomizes the archetype of a hero, however, she also shatters the mold by rebelling against the capital and endangering her whole family. She starts out as a hero to her family, especially her sister, and then becomes the symbol of strength to everyone. Katniss sacrifices herself by volunteering to join the Hunger Games in place of her sister, it is a game of survival where a boy and a girl from each district are forced to fight the other members of other districts to the death. By going out of her ordinary world and preparing to join a game where her life could be taken, she fits right into the archetype of a hero. Her bow and arrow, the weapon that only she can wield, will be the only things to help her survive. Despite these heroic qualities, Katniss makes an erroneous decision and blunder mistakes that shows the reader the flip side of Katniss.
Sometimes when people encounter difficult challenges they rise up to the occasion and change for the better. The main character in Collins' book, Katniss Everdeen, is a demonstration of this type of response. When her little sister Prim was called to fight for her life, Katniss instinctively took her place; which creates irony, because nobody was expecting Katniss to volunteer for her. When hard times hit Katniss' family, her mom fell into deep depression and didn't provide for her family anymore, so in a way, Katniss became head of the household (with the support of many people); this sets the sad but intense mood for the book. She is characterized by her honest, hard working personality that is shown through her actions. Like
Katniss Everdeen is not a normal girl, she is a teenager who had to grow up fast within District Twelve. After losing her father to a mine accident, Katniss had to become an adult and be the sole provider for her family. Her mother detached herself from her role as a parent, which meant Katniss not only had to become the provider but also the nurturer of the family. This gives her the role of being the mother and father to her sister
Although half of the Gladers die, their sacrifice makes it possible for the rest of them to escape the maze. As compared to the film Maze Runner, majority of the sacrifice in The Hunger Games is derived from accepting death. During the competition, only one person out of twenty four can survive, which ends up to a cruel entertainment for the Capitol. The main characters in The Hunger Games and Maze Runner both showcase the theme of heroism by doing many heroic acts throughout the film. Katniss Everdeen is considered as a hero in the film as she encounters a dangerous journey. She is classified as a hero in a sense that she risked her own life for her family, friends and district. In contrast to Katniss’ act of heroism, Thomas was the most heroic character among the rest. Although he was a new member of the glade, he demonstrated his courage, his self-sacrifice for the good of others and leadership. As well as Thomas demonstrating courage, Katniss is also known as a courageous figure as she displays heroism by pouting her life in danger while she made sacrifices of the well-being of others. She portrays a true bro as she is prepared to give up everything for the safety of others, she is a great example f a hero because throughout the film she sacrifices herself by taking her sister’s place in the games to keep her sister safe.
Some literary devices in The Hunger Games prove Peeta and Katniss both fight so hard in the game. Firstly, symbol is one of the good literary devices that reveal Katniss always works hard physically in the game. For instance, Katniss’s dress that burns on the fire symbolizes Katniss’s fighting spirit. The reader knows Katniss is “the girl who was on fire” (Collins 78). Consequently, Katniss never gives up in the game despite she often has many difficulties in a hard situation. Likewise, smile is another literary device which shows Peeta is also very diligent in a psychological way. For example, the reader can know Peeta tries to become optimistic in the game even if he is in a bad situation, because when “Peeta wriggles back inside his fact lit up like the sun” (Collins 302). As a result, Peeta tries hard to make himself to be hopeful and confident to win in the game. All in all, these literary devices provide the evidences for the
