The sharp drop in the pressure and temperature and their direct signs designate the beginning of the hydrates-forming reaction . It was apparently shown from the pressure and temperature variation curves, i. e., this phenomenon can be used to verify the starts of the hydrates-forming reaction. (Kumar, 2013; Su, 2010) The pressure difference between the time points was used to calculate the volume of CO2 gas consumed during different time zones and was found to obey the modified gas law represented by Eq. 1. (Perry, 1984; Smith, 2001) (1) where n is the moles of gas consumed, P is the pressure, T is the temperature, R is the universal gas constant, V is the volume of CO2 gas in the vessel, and z is the compressibility factor.
RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
Successful CO2 hydrates formation in both coal samples by hydratesforming reactions
The variation in the pressure and temperature during the hydrates-forming reaction were plotted, as shown in Figure 4. The results indicate that CO2 hydrates were formed in both coal samples under different pressures conditions (2.3 and 3 MPa). The specific testing data are listed in Table 3. Figures 4 and 5 show the pressure and temperature variation curves with reaction time under different pressures (left-3MPa; right-2.3MPa), respectively.
