Deforestation is increasing global actions with environmental and economic outcomes. It refers to the destruction of tropical forests, primarily done by human activities such as logging and agriculture. Eighty percent of Earth's land animals and plants live in forests that results with deforestation. By the act of deforestation, humans are destroying the homes and killing individual species that habitat there. In addition to the harm, deforestations strike on animals is also having a devastating effect on the climate. consequently, with the act of deforestation, many Americans are given various job opportunities related to agriculture.
Rainforests are homes to millions of species, where many are also endangered. By cutting down forests, humans are not just destroying the homes of individual species, but also resulting in the extinction of the many species. In fact, deforestation has already eliminated various species from our planet. According to a UN Environmental Programme report released on 2005, Amazon rainforest region has lost 17 percent of its forest and led to the extinction of 26 animals and plants species in South America. The UN reporter also noted, “The deforestation in the region was still going on at an accelerated pace”. In addition to the destruction of habitats, the loss of trees also allows a greater mass of greenhouse gases to be released into the atmosphere.
