There is no question that certain inventions have had a humongous impact on shaping our society today. They make our day-to-day lives uncomplicated and much more efficient. Inventions have completely changed our lifestyles, to the point where some people can't even imagine living without a telephone. With so many inventions in the world it's hard to choose which ones have had the most influence on us. But I believe the telephone, camera, and the airplane had the most impact on American life and industrialization. One of the inventions that impacted industrialization and American life is the telephone. It was invented by Alexander Bell and it changed the way people/businesses communicated. Before the telephone people use to communicate by letters, which use to consume a great deal of time. But because we have the telephone, communication is much …show more content…
It was invented by George Eastman and you can capture images and videos that could last a lifetime with a camera. For most Americans cherishing memories is crucial to them. And the camera helps you do just that. You could take a picture on April 8th, 2003 and come back to it years later. The camera is not only useful for cherishing memories. You can use it for education, learning about our history, and keeping up with what's going on in our society. Without cameras we wouldn't be able to know major events that happened in the past. For example, imagine if there were no pictures of the Holocaust, would as many people believe it happened? The camera was important in industrialization because people could now have faster way to capture significant moments in history without drawing or painting them. Cameras are still a big part of our society today. They play big role in entertainment. Also, because of cameras we can see what's happening in other parts of the world. Overall the uses for a camera will always be vital in our current
One innovation was the change in speed of communication, the telegraph was invented by Samuel F.B. Also the lightbulb, invented by Thomas Edison, and the typewriter caused revolutionary changes in American society.
There were many new inventions in transportation and communication. The biggest innovations that changed life in the United States between 1776 and 1870s was electricity, the railroads and
The telegraph impacted communication. Without it current electronic communications such as phones may have never been created. This is why the telegraph was the most significant technological advancement from between 1800-1850. The telegraph is the most significant technological advancement in this time period. One of the main reasons that the telegraph is the most significant technological advancement is because of its effect on the economy at the time.
The technological change that has had the most impact on life in this country is the telephone. In the early
After the War of 1812, America initially sank into a time of economic regression and the public began to lose faith in the government. The United States was in debt, British products flooded the ports, and many citizens became more concerned of their own welfare compared to the country’s. However, through years of improvement and hard work, the United States began to prove itself once again to the foreign countries. Beginning in the 1800’s, the technological developments began to greatly transformed the United States. At first, many people considered America to be a weak and undeveloped state, however, throughout the years, America slowly began to prove to the other countries that it is becoming a strong and independent state. In the end, America became an industrialized country, domestic trade became popular, and the transportation system in the country was
There were many inventions that were created in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries that had a huge impact on life in the United States. Some of these inventions were the telephone, the electric light bulb, and the airplane. From the time when the first English colonies were established in North America until now, there has been some form of armed fighting force in place to protect the interests of the United States and its colonial progenitors. During the roughly four centuries in which this fighting force has existed, it has undergone numerous changes of varying degrees of significance. Technological advances have changed the nature of both defensive and offensive warfare, political advances have changed the nature of the relationship between the civilian population and its protectors, and geostrategic shifts have changed the role of the United States military with respect to the rest of the world. The most lasting and meaningful changes have occurred
We are now able to communicate with people around the world through a small cellular device that we keep in our pocket. All these ideas helped improve the way American is now. These aren't the only inventions that helped change America. There are so many more that were innovated and are still to this day being
Americans can thank the Gilded Age for this, as a lot of new inventions revolving around communication were put into use and advanced the country one step closer to the modern world we live in today. The telephone and telegraph were arguably the most significant inventions of the Industrial Revolution. The telephone made communication more efficient, instead of having to write a letter and mail it, you could use an invention to speak immediately. Not only did the telegraph make communication easier as well, it also helped the unity of the nation, people we’re able to talk with each other from different parts of the country easier (www.history.com/topics/industrial-revolution). The telegraph made the standard of living for Americans better.
Sense the invention of the camera in 1826 photography has been used to document everything from family portraits, social injustice, sporting events, world news, expressions of joy and sorrow, and hundreds of monumental moments. The camera has given man the power to reveal the truth visually. Throughout history photographs have made enormous impacts on social consciousness and ultimately shaped public opinion on many pressing issues in society. Although photography is often considered a casual pastime, the invention of the camera has contributed to many aspects of history, science, and other important pieces of todays world.
Many inventions revolutionized society and one example is the telephone, which was introduced to society in 1876. The inventor, Alexander Graham Bell developed this idea and the telephone made him famous because communication would never be the same after the development of the telephone. The telephone made an incredible impact on society. The impact could be seen through the quickness of communication, business, easier communication in wars, and some negative effects too.
The Industrial Revolution brought about an overwhelming amount of economic change to the United States. The first Industrial Revolution started in Great Britain and in Europe in the latter part of the eighteenth century and, it then spread to the United States and Germany. The Industrial Revolution itself refers to a change from hand and home production to machine and factory (Kelly). During this time period, America was growing in knowledge. The industrialization of America involved three great developments. Transportation was expanded, electricity was effectively harnessed and many improvements were made to several industrial processes (Kelly). Although this change greatly helped the United States economy, it had both a positive and negative impact on the lives of the American people.
The second major innovation is the telephone because it opened up doors for everybody. The telephone allowed them to be connected to other parts of the world, or their loved ones did not live in the same city. It permitted them to stay connected to relatives and have audio conversations without the inconvenience of letters which took a while to arrive by post. It produced better business for the small to larger corporate businesses as well as in the event of an emergency.
In my opinion, the automobile and the utilization of electricity have been two of the most important inventions in United States history. The invention of the car expanded our horizons in the fact that citizens were able to travel, but also because people could live in places other than the city. Also, the utilization of electricity has become a part of life that we would not know how to live without. Electricity has allowed for businesses and homes to run in a convenient and efficient manner. Without electricity, we as a nation would have very little technology.
Industrialization help when more immigrants began to arrive by providing a cheap labor force and now you see large industries have plenty work maybe now provide better pay then back then and safe workplace to work. This help factory economy growth tremendously. Even If I don’t agree with low wages and mistreated of employee but Industrialization, help build America.
