Is interactive learning suitable for all subjects?
‘Interactive learning is any sort of schoolwork or academic plan that uses computer technology in order to emphasize or teach specific material’(wiseGEEK,2003) With this in mind, it is obvious that most subjects would be suitable to be changed to the form of interactive leaning. The main thing each subject would have to do would is change from the traditional book/ passive learning and use power point presentations instead. This will increase the work load for the teacher/lecturer at first but in the long run it will benefit the student and the teacher/ lecturer.
However, this method of teaching may work for the subject but may not work for the students. There must be research done in to this area by doing a five step concept development cycle (Camillan Huang,2002). In this, the college or school must first define the problem, and then move on to the concept generation and visualisation of the problem.
