A communication contract helps to keep organizational relationships and communication between people in respectful and professional manners. According to Dresp-Langley (2009), a contract in communication promotes an ethical speech, which can be also revised by business leaders. This helps to be able to keep track of what, when and how people speak and express opinions in meetings. For instance, it creates an environment where employees must respect other, because there are rules where people’s relationships are based on organizational values. Ethical communication in organizations is important to keep the respect between people’s relationships and people’s communication, whether it takes place in meeting or paper. Per Dresp-Langley (2009), the core values in an organization must be trust, responsibility, integrity, respect openness, fairness, and transparency which positively impact in organizations. Leaders must create a respect system of clauses that guide how people should deal with others, trying to avoid language or hierarchical relationships that can negatively impact employees, where, if that occurs in an intentional manner by employees, the manager can punish the action violated.
