The Importance Of A Hero's Journey

What makes a Hero? The making of a hero comes from the person who will be the hero themselves. When becoming a hero, you embark on a cycle known as the Hero’s Journey. This cycle leads through a simplistic route that most heroes take: The normal life, call to adventure, refusal, meeting the mentor, crossing the threshold, Tests/allies/enemies, approach,ordeal, reward, return, new life, resolution, and back to the normal life. There are some who don’t follow through this journey completely, but still manage to get some of the parts of this Journey into it’s story. The function of a hero is to ultimately achieve their true self, most times helping people along the way. The hero gets rewarded in the end with it being a helpful tool, to just more courage. The same can go for firefighters, only they help by putting out fires that can damage homes, or even kill people. Much the same as policemen, they put their lives on the line to help us, and get their reward as well, more paychecks.
Now since there are the the good guys, there will always be some of the baddies as well, how else will the heroes help the world without some of them causing trouble for it? A bad guy/girl/thing can come in all shapes and sizes, for example a paper, holding a paper the wrong way can get you a papercut, which nobody will ever enjoy. Another example would be criminals, who mainly commit crimes for their own “benefit.” Criminals can consist of burglars, murderers, gang members, convicts, and plenty more. They commit crimes by hurting others with their actions, which is why the heroes step in.
Heroes are good, unless we see a hero turn to a villain. Heroes go through long treacherous journeys, helping us people along the way, and they still have their normal
