First and foremost, let me mention that I am looking to apply to the Tepper School of Business and the Dietrich College of Social Science and Humanities.
I had certainly heard of Carnegie Mellon before, but it was actually my interest in a different college that lead me to want to apply to Carnegie Mellon. I was in fact visiting the University of Pittsburgh, when I was simply astounded by some of the architecture of the Carnegie Mellon’s buildings. I would be walking through Oakland, and would tell my dad how much I loved that University of Pittsburgh building, only for him to inform that we are no longer on the Pitt campus but instead seeing many of Carnegie’s buildings. This may seem like an obscure reason to be interested in a school, but
The most common questions in a high schooler's life is “ where are you going for college” or “do you plan on going to college?” in my case I answered yes and said Meramec. I am going to Meramec Community College for multiple reasons, I am not the only child in the family so that means my parents have to pay for two other kids as well, so tuition at a four year college would be to much for them to pay. I also decided to attend Meramec so that I could help out with taking my siblings to school instead of having my dad taking them every morning and only getting a couple of hours of sleep. Being Hispanic and coming from a background where school is very important, I need to try harder and be someone in life and not be that guy who doesn't have any money or a career while living in my parents basement, I want to be able to provide for myself and my future family.
I am applying to Plymouth State University’s Master of Educational Leadership program for the winter of 2016-2017. Currently, I am the head of the math department, hockey coach and assistant athletic director at New Hampton School, in New Hampton, NH. I would like to pursue a master’s degree in educational leadership with a focus on athletic administration to further my knowledge of the required leadership qualities, specialized skills and educational systems so that I may ultimately become a better math department chair and an athletic director.
If i were to ask a UW- Madison admissions counselor a few questions i would ask the following:
My initial interest for applying to Radford University came about through an uplifting conversation I had with Danylle Kunkel, professor within the department of management. While attending a friend's basketball tournament who attends and plays for Radford University, Mrs. Kunkel and I met and spoke briefly about my aspirations for both business and management, and more specifically about my inevitably intention to turn my father's business "Z-Kabob" into a full blown franchisee. Long story short, she had given me some priceless tips about marketing decision-making, mentioning how Radford's entrepreneurship program couldn't have been a better fit for me. Her evident passion while educating me, and within business itself, is just one of the factors that makes me so eager and joyful to write this application with hopes of getting an acceptance.
Aside from the school’s stellar reputation and history, I am impressed by its mission statement. It says in part that the school strives to produce artists who are innovators and leaders. This speaks to me as I hope to become both of those within the world of Musical Theatre. While I have a deep respect and love for the classics of Musical Theatre, I am excited and drawn to new and experimental works that take chances with the medium. I truly believe that as artists it is our job to create, not just duplicate, and the opportunity to take chances at Carnegie Mellon working with others to create living works of art is all I could ever ask for in a college experience.
Petersburg Honors College Program, I have gotten accustomed to smaller class sizes and it's benefits. Hofstra's size and lower teacher to student ratio correlates to my value of classroom discussions, connecting with the professors and peers, as well as the importance of in depth coverage of lessons. Throughout this entire college application process I have realized that I do not want to be just another number among hundreds in a lecture hall. I prefer and succeed in a more personalized teaching setting/learning approach. Student life at Hofstra is the life for me, the variety of clubs and groups available on campus is mind-blowing and I am looking forward to putting my leadership, collaboration, and creativity skills to the test. I am applying to Hofstra because it is the school for me, not only will it open doors in my future and help me prepare for my career field, but what I have to offer to the school goes hand in hand with Hofstra dedication to building world changers; My dedication to learning, commitment to community service, persistance and drive to keep moving forward ( as well as my awesome ultimate Frisbee skills) will only contribute to the awesomeness that is
I am applying to your Bachlorette program in social work for the fall of 2015. After earning an associate’s degree in social work and another in interdisciplinary studies, I have decided that it is through these collective experiences that I have developed a deeper insight into the role of a social worker and the transformative support provided through it. Subsequently, this has prompted me to return to education and ultimately support vulnerable people experiencing need. I believe that my strong motivation towards achieving this, combined with practical experience and a passion to contribute significantly to our society and social development, demonstrates my potential as a candidate for the social worker program.
One main reason why I chose to apply to UCF is because this school has been on the top of my list since I began looking at schools. As well, UCF has a Forensics Science Major at their school. Not many
When I visited Cornell’s campus, I adored the relaxing scenery and sounds of the waterfalls. But that is not the only reason I want to attend Cornell. My interest in studying at the College of Arts and Sciences rooted from my desire to explore all the possibilities – from chemistry to economics to arts – of my undergraduate career.
George Washington University is the number only University who offered a program that spoke to my interest. I am applying to the Master of Professional Studies in Security and Safety Leadership because I believe my analytical and critical thinking skills will be enhanced and the program expectations will be higher than in my to think effectively and efficiently. I believe that this program will provide me with the competencies to manage and succeed in the Homeland Security field. This program will provide me with the proper knowledge and skills I would need to excel in Criminal Justice.
As a freshman in high school, I had not known the significance of the name Carnegie Mellon when others mentioned that it was their dream school. Because I attended a STEM school. I heard many talk about the opportunities Carnegie Mellon could offer to individuals. This sparked my interest to research Carnegie Mellon for myself and discern if I could find myself attending such a school. What I initially noticed about Carnegie Mellon was that it was ranked really well in computer science, engineering, and drama, all fields that I did not want to pursue. Unfortunately, that diminished any depiction in my mind of Carnegie Mellon being a dream school for me.
I applied to the College of Arts and Sciences because of its location. The College of Arts and Sciences' location in New York City because I saw a chance to taste the world outside my home. I am enthusiastic to get an education from a prestigious college while experiencing a city filled with multiple cultures and possibilities.

In addition, students are competing with each other in a small group. I believe that I can improve my skills and knowledges when compete with my peers.
