The Importance of Family in Night Going through concentration camps Jews lost everything. They lost their closest belongings like their family. After everything was gone and they were all on their own getting tortured most of them felt that they didn’t have anything to live for. Elie Wiesel who wrote the autobiography Night had to face the challenges of going through a concentration camp. Though most of his time at the camps he had his father to be with and fight for but once his father passed away there was nothing but food to live for. By examining the novel Night, we can see that family is the key to survival, which is important because those who do not have family often don’t have someone to live for.
