In the novel, The Hunger Games, twenty-four teenagers compete against one another to the death until there is only one standing. The main character, Katniss Everdeen, had to make allies i in order to win and survive. In Suzanne Collins’ novel, The Hunger Games the overarching theme is that people need to have a friendship in order to survive extreme situations, as shown by Katniss’ friendships with Haymitch, Rue, and Peeta.
The statements made by C.S. Lewis can easily be agreed with or refuted. The idea that friendship “gives value to survival” is agreeable with because it is not vital to your physical health. However, your physical health can be affected by your mental or emotional health. Having no friends could lead to falling into a state of depression; depression often leads to self-harm or in some cases, suicide. Mental problems can occur through the lack of friendship as well. People can acquire mental illnesses such as schizophrenia which can compensate for the lack of people in your life.
A true friendship is something that everyone wants to have but not everyone can have it.

In the novel Of Mice and Men, two middle aged men are portrayed at their new job during the struggles of the Great Depression. The two have a special bond in which enables them to grow and create happiness. The author, John Steinbeck uses indirect characterization to illustrate the idea that friendship is a key component to life. While it can be filled with sorrow

There are many qualities to be found in a good friend. Whether it’s kindness, charisma, or comedic ability, friends can vary immensely, and anyone has the potential to classify as a good friend.
There are eight important qualities of friendship; enjoyment, acceptance, trust, respect, mutual support, confiding, understanding, and honesty. Love contains all of these qualities and three more; sexual desire, priority over other relationships, and caring to the point of great self-sacrifice.
Friendship is immensely valuable for the well-being of one’s mind. It creates trust and dependencies between people, which is often beneficial for those involved. However, there are cases in which these dependencies lead to vulnerability. There are numerous examples of this in pop culture. Friends remain together and support one another until the end regardless of the consequences. In John Steinbeck’s novella Of Mice and Men, the characters George Milton and Lennie Small demonstrate that having a strong friendship renders them susceptible to danger. One characteristic that a Friend of Everyone would possess is the fact that they would not judge you, or not be friends with you, because of race, gender, religion, or anything that makes you unique in a good or bad way. I, and many other people I know, are just like this. I have many friends who are completely different than me when it comes to ethnicity, or gender. Once, I made friends with a girl who a lot of people avoided. I felt like she needed a friend, and she did. She felt a lot better after I became friends with her, and I didn’t avoid her because she was a girl, or avoided by popular people. Another time, I became friends with a group of people in my school who were of a different race. They were curious why I was doing this, at first. But, later they accepted me and I had more friends to

Friends with positive characteristics such as reliable, trustworthy and faithful whom I usually get along with are the one that tend to have more friends and the negative one whom I usually not get along with tend to be alone. However, friends with negative characteristic can also give us some good examples of seeing double sides of something, like, a character can be
What really is the qualities of a true friend? Most friends come and go but are true friends are the ones that are going to stick around forever. These friends are the ones we trust with are deepest darkest secrets that perhaps no one should ever know. They may also be the kindest person you will ever meet.
