Globalization allows important processes to occur and be maintained more efficiently and important ideas to become reality in an environment where they otherwise may not be. There is a certain irony involved in this however that must be mentioned. For example, globalization is going to allow the world to work together to hopefully solve our apocalyptic environmental predicament in a best case scenario. Of course however, this predicament is a result of globalization(1, Conclusion). Still, it allows the human race to push forward, which at this point we must recognize as a necessity of our species in a time where progress of the human race is growing rapidly. In my opinion this is a progress is written in our DNA, and globalization has allowed us to accomplish truly incredible things(2, Conclusion).

We live in a time of worldwide change. What happens in one part of the world impacts people on the other side of the world. People around the world are influenced by common developments.

The issue of globalization for the people of the United States has been a long and terrifying problem for them. Although other countries many have had issues with this problem it appears the U.S. is still being affected by it to this day. Although not everyone in the United States may have been affected by the issue. Majority of the people (mid class and lower class) have somehow been affected by it or knows someone that has been affect because of it. This issue of globalization has been talked about by politicians so it appears it had to been a major impact to the country. Thus, this issue of globalization has been an issue for the United States for a long-time way before the twentieth centuries. Therefore, this paper will discuss what is globalization and how it has impacted Americans views and how some people’s views changed because of it and finally, what is the impact of communications technology. All these key topics will help with getting a better understanding of what these issue is and how it has affected society today.

I believe globalization is somewhere in between of having a positive or negative impact on the world. Just like the old saying “too much of a good thing can be bad for you” the key to everything in life is balance and excess might harm you. Furthermore, both sides of globalization have compelling arguments on the positive and negative effects of globalization, furthermore different countries and cultures would have different opinions in regards to how they have been affected by globalization. In this assignment I will look at the positive and negative views of globalization to further prove that globalization ultimately falls somewhere in between as being positive or negative.

Globalization is a phenomenon that allows nations to trade goods and services on an international scale in order to increase wealth and strengthen economic infrastructure. Globalisation could be defined as the growth to a global or worldwide scale. Globalisation has brought a wave of improvement and development in technology and knowledge, also bought a change to the world. Many fields of knowledge have been affected, the new technologies have been built and have been shown to the public. As in the other fields, finance is impacted. For example, financial markets have been established in many counties, local companies have become the international companies, well - known banks have been known in many countries and so on. Financial advances have also changed the way of international trade, making transaction in international trade is more convenient and comfortable than in the past. Buyers and sellers can make a payment although they are not in the same country, money is transferred cross country in a short time. So, in the international trade context, there are four different ways to transfer money from the buyer to the seller as advance payment, letters of credit, draft and open account, and in the different methods have their own risks. So, this essay will evaluate the potential risks which could occur and will look at what situations is each method commonly used.

The Book Globalization: A way short Introduction by Manfred B. Steger was a great book. Out of all the books I have to read for classes and etc. this one was one of the best reads. I learned so many things that I never have thought about in globalization. Generally people just know it as spreading one’s ideals into the world. But after reading this book I was able to really learn about the effects and consequences of the globalization. I also learned that globalization really affects everyone around the world pretty heavily. There were many new and important Ideas I learned from this book, but there were also some that I did agree on.

On its own Economic globalization is a way for economic relations to extend and integrate across the world. Economic globalization and its policies as well as, the ideology of neoliberalism have a way of creating an inequality between countries and creates an endless debt cycle. International economic organizations have caused long-term effects due to the harsh conditions these organizations impose. A prime example of this effect can be seen in countries such as Jamaica. Before the 18th century, the belief was that societies were in a state of decline amongst ancient civilizations. However, during the Enlightenment period, the notion of progress became pervasive, which eventually prompted sociological and cultural revolution, the Western stage theories of progress. In the course, we have so far discussed the emergence of developmental thinking from its conception to its prevailing influence on modern society. The teleology that it has established is that progress is innate and that we are on the same trajectory to the state of betterment: an economic freedom. However, I would like to discuss the adverse effects and consequences of such fixation on progress and development, illustrated by the state of globalization and the imposition of rational order throughout the world. The enthusiasm for ration and technology to govern the human and natural world encourages entities to attempt developmental projects or create solutions that only benefit the sovereign or force developing countries into a Western framework.
