The Importance Of Key Events In History

One of the most significant events in the history of America was the American Revolution. It was not so significant because of the number of deaths or the affects it had on America's relationship with Great Britain, but more because of the changes it caused in society socially, economically, and politically.

The American Revolutionary War was a very important event in history because that's what gave the colonist's freedom. In the time period between the war the British had made these rules that the colonist's had not liked so the colonist's started these acts. For example, there was the Boycott of British goods and the Boston tea party. Those acts spark the war because King George III didn’t like the rebellion of the colonist's so he sent British soldiers to keep an eye on the colonist's. There were battles that also spark the war, such as the battle of Lexington and concord, also the battle of Saratoga those battles spark the war and the King had enough so he sent troops to the colonies and then the war started.

The American Revolution was the most important event to ever take place in this country. This war took place from 1765-1783 and involved Great Britain and the United States of America. Without this revolution, the colonies would have never gained independence from Great Britain and the United States could still be under their control. However, this revolution did not occur without a cause, early Americans fought for independence because of unfair treatment from England. There were many causes to the Revolution including high taxes, unfair laws, and even colonists being killed.

Many forces shaped the America that we know today. Some events in our country’s history have had more impact than others. Some of the most significant events in shaping America from pre-history to the dawn of the American Revolution include the invention of the Clovis point, the Black Death, and the defeat of the Spanish Armada. In this paper I will analyze the effect of each of these events and the impact they made on the modern day.

The events that comes to mind when most of people talk about the U.S history are the Civil War and the Reconstruction. The Civil War was the turning point in the U.S history, while the Reconstruction brought order out of chaos of the Civil War. After all these, the U.S grows rapidly and becomes a superpower today. From my perspective, the most important cause of the Civil War is the conflict between the northern capitalism economy and the sourthern plantation economy. And the Reconstruction did spread freedom and brought more oppotunities, but it still remain a varirty of problems.

Past events often weave themselves in and out of history, as it takes place, creating similar themes throughout the span of time. When an event is taking place, however, it is difficult to understand just how much previous decisions impact the present reality. It is not usually until one is well removed from a period of historical significance that one begins to comprehend the scope of influence. The American Revolution is one of these such events. One of the most significant events in United States history was the American Revolution. However, the significance of the event did not lay in the number of casualties or in Revolutionary wartime strategies. The importance of the Revolution lay in its effects of American Society. This landmark in American history has caused important changes to the government, affected vast and deep social changes, and altered the economic state of the newborn nation in the years of 1775 to 1800.

Sometimes a boss can be really hard on a particular employee. They may seem to just pick on them such as giving them the hard work or just being very demanding and rude to them. The boss can only act like that for a certain amount of time before the employee finally decides to do something about it. They can do something simple like just leaving the job, or if they get extremely frustrated, they can do something to get their boss back for everything. This was the case between America, the employee, and Britain, the boss, in the late 1700s. Britain was being extremely harsh on America, Boston especially, for quite some time, and Boston eventually had enough of it. Boston reacted on December 16, 1773. The Sons of Liberty dressed up as Native Americans to aboard ships from the East India Tea Company and dumped over 300 chests of their tea into the Boston Harbor. This cost Britain over $1,000,000 in American currency today (History.com). This act is now known as the Boston Tea Party. This act did a lot more for America than one might think. It was the largest act of rebellion they did to date because of how much it cost Britain. It really made Britain mad and it raised the tension between the two putting war that much closer. This massive act also gave a lot of confidence to America because they now saw themselves as being closer to equals. They were not just a “baby brother”

I think the very most important event in American history is the Revolutionary War. We did not agree with how England was treating us so we took action. It is the most important event because that is when America became independent from Great Britain. This war lead to the Declaration of Independence which officially said we were our own nation. Without this war we would still be a part of England and we would not be the country we have become today.

American history is so full of wonderful, enticing things. A few of those enticing things include the First Continental Congress and the Second Continental Congress and how they came to be through the events leading up to them. Another captivating piece of our history is that of the formation of the Constitution along with the interesting factors and characteristics that go along with it. Finally, we have the emergence of the Federalist and Republican Parties. It is important to have an understanding of these important historical events and people so that we can fully appreciate the nation that we now refer to today as the land of opportunities and of great achievement.

The American Civil War was a battle that took place in the United States from 1861 to 1865. This war ripped the entire country into two opposing sides and forced them to fight against each other due to differences in beliefs. Although this War brought great tragedy across the entire nation, some refer to this time period as an American Revolution. But how could a time that caused mass amounts of death and terror be considered a period that revolutionized the country? By exploring this time period it can be recognized that this battle caused the reevaluation of many fundamental issues that were causing conflicts throughout the country. Many documents that created the foundation of our now existing United States were created due to the after affects of this conflict. This War brought great tragedy to the entire nation, yet complete revolutionized its way of thought; this period of time is often referred to as the “Second American Revolution”.

The decades of the 50’s, 60’s 70’s 80’s and 90’s had many significant events that shaped America into the nation that it is today. The events of these decades shaped the United States into the nation that it is today consist of the Cold War, the Vietnam War, the Watergate Scandal, Reaganomics, and the end of the Cold War.

Analyzing the processes of decolonization and early post-colony in Africa is a complex task. Especially when looking through the perspective of different nations that each followed their own path. Chinua Achebe’s There was a Country and Ngugi Wa Thiong’o’s Dreams in a Time of War, are both exceptional novels that grapple with the social and political struggles going on in their respective countries. They also help explore the complexities of nation building as well as political conflicts expression in communal form. On one hand, Thiong’o’s piece is a child’s recollection of his childhood with the lead up to the Mau Mau Emergency and colonialism in the backdrop. Achebe’s on the other hand takes place later in history and focuses on the political and social struggles that ultimately led to the Biafran war.

Why do most scary stories tend to have some type of transformation?. What affects does transformation has on the story?. Changes are triggered in a character when they undergo momentous events. We see many transformations in stories such as “House Taken Over” by Julio Cortazar,”Where is Here” and “The feathered pillow”. In all these stories, transformation is seen in various ways whether it is a change in one's life or in the character. This raises the question, In what ways does transformation play a role in stories meant to scare us?.In my opinion, in a story a change in characters and a change in one’s normal life plays a very important role; the reader start to imagine illogical things, get more interested in the story, start to ask questions to themselves and transformation creates suspense which develops terror in reader’s mind.
