The Importance Of Key Events In History

The events that comes to mind when most of people talk about the U.S history are the Civil War and the Reconstruction. The Civil War was the turning point in the U.S history, while the Reconstruction brought order out of chaos of the Civil War. After all these, the U.S grows rapidly and becomes a superpower today. From my perspective, the most important cause of the Civil War is the conflict between the northern capitalism economy and the sourthern plantation economy. And the Reconstruction did spread freedom and brought more oppotunities, but it still remain a varirty of problems.

One of the most significant events in the history of America was the American Revolution. It was not so significant because of the number of deaths or the affects it had on America's relationship with Great Britain, but more because of the changes it caused in society socially, economically, and politically.

The American Revolution was the most important event to ever take place in this country. This war took place from 1765-1783 and involved Great Britain and the United States of America. Without this revolution, the colonies would have never gained independence from Great Britain and the United States could still be under their control. However, this revolution did not occur without a cause, early Americans fought for independence because of unfair treatment from England. There were many causes to the Revolution including high taxes, unfair laws, and even colonists being killed.

One of the most significant events in United States history was the American Revolution. However, the significance of the event did not lay in the number of casualties or in Revolutionary wartime strategies. The importance of the Revolution lay in its effects of American Society. This landmark in American history has caused important changes to the government, affected vast and deep social changes, and altered the economic state of the newborn nation in the years of 1775 to 1800.

American history is so full of wonderful, enticing things. A few of those enticing things include the First Continental Congress and the Second Continental Congress and how they came to be through the events leading up to them. Another captivating piece of our history is that of the formation of the Constitution along with the interesting factors and characteristics that go along with it. Finally, we have the emergence of the Federalist and Republican Parties. It is important to have an understanding of these important historical events and people so that we can fully appreciate the nation that we now refer to today as the land of opportunities and of great achievement.

Past events often weave themselves in and out of history, as it takes place, creating similar themes throughout the span of time. When an event is taking place, however, it is difficult to understand just how much previous decisions impact the present reality. It is not usually until one is well removed from a period of historical significance that one begins to comprehend the scope of influence. The American Revolution is one of these such events. At the time, it was easy to view it as a removed, separate event that was paving its own path, but now it is significantly visible that the American Revolution was heavily impacted by a period of previous history: The Enlightenment era and its roots in the rest of the Atlantic World. In history class,

American culture has changed over time as the country has grown. It is important to know our history so we can avoid the same mistakes that our ancestors made before us. With knowledge of our history and our prior mistakes, we can learn from them and make better decisions in the future.

There’s a lot of important and significant event in the history of America. I’m going to talk about 3 historically significant events that have happened to America. This introduction would be longer but I really can’t think of anything else to say. So with that, let’s get started.

Over the past 50 years there has been a constant series of events that have significantly changed the future of America. This course specifically focused on the American Experience since 1945. Topics such as the Cold War, McCarthyism, Civil Rights and the Vietnam War all put in to place a chain of events that have made our country what it is today. This paper will review a few of the social, economic and political events between 1950 through 1990 that had a powerful impact on the American people and their decade.

History never teaches fatalism. There comes a moment when the will of a handful of a Freeman breaks through the determination and opens up the roads. Human history has always been filled with individual liberty ideas. Liberty is known to be the idea that is firmly held by men in their hearts, as they were willing to fight or even die for it. It was an ecstatic feeling when they finally achieved it. The people had an idea of a constitutional freedom and the moral quality, which was strongly held in the people’s hearts in America, and it consequently spread to other countries in the world. It is believed that American Revolution was the most important chapter in human history just because it was their action that made the ideals of liberty, equality, and justice to materialize. The American Revolution had a very big significance worldwide as it changed the world not by removing and altering of power in any of the states but by the appearance of the new state, new species, in the new globe. It inspired liberty worldwide, and this was treasured by all humankind even today.

Although turning points such as the Columbian Exchange, Opium Wars and The spread of Islam have been marked as important turning points in history, An event such as the Industrial Revolution and being diagnosed with ADHD has one, affected the way the world functioned as a whole and two, impacted my life tremendously and helped me learn a lot about myself in the long run.

There are many things that have made America what it is today. Some may be more important to the making of America than others though. If I were to put the top five events in American history that helped it become what it is today the very most, I think those would have to be as follows: The Revolutionary War, The Civil War, Martin Luther King Jr.’s I Have a Dream speech, Benjamin Franklin’s electricity experiments, and 9-11.

They do not take the time to delve into how the United States was founded, and how it has stood for many years as the symbol of hope. For more than two hundred years, the United States has stood under many beliefs, but all have been defended with the blood of many fallen heroes. When countries told the United States to submit, it stood firm. When war was at America’s footsteps, she planted her feet and said, “No, you move.” America’s history is vast. America has had missteps, but at the end of the day she is worth defending. Eighteen percent of eighth graders are not proficient in history, which in turn are the future Americans who will take charge of America. These future leaders must learn that many men and women have died for their freedom, and many mistakes have been made that need to be addressed and learned more about. Parents, your children must learn the history of this great country. Ask yourself, do not we owe it to the future of America to learn our wrong doings and our greatest achievements? This country will not know where it is going, if it does not know where it came from.
