Hannah is trying to plan her next semester out, and the thing she is most interested in, is possibly living in the international dorm. She is in the process of learning French, having taken it in high school, as well as the first semester, and would like to be around others who speak it to help her become fluent. They go on a date together, and then after, to a party. They drink and have a great time. Hannah is so elated and certain she feel something for him. Maxime takes her back to his dorm room. They have sex. As they lay there after, Hannah asks what his plans are for winter break. He explains that he isn’t sure. He was still waiting to find out if he was going to stay for the next term or not, waiting to hear back from the school about it. Her heart drops, not realizing how limited their time was together. Maxime tells her not to fret and just enjoy the time they had together, but that he hoped he did get to stay so that they could spend more time together. They fall asleep in his bed. A few hours later, she wakes to the sound of him making a call right outside the door. It’s in French. Once again, Hannah doesn’t pick up a lot of it, but keywords. The one phrase she is certain she heard was “have a good morning, my love”. And hearing him say “I love you”, once again. Did he have a girlfriend back home?! As the door opens, Hannah acts like she is asleep, unsure how to confront him. Maxime lays back in the bed and holds her. Cliffhanger. *Next book, Hannah finds out that he does have a girlfriend in France. He feels horrible about getting caught, and assures her that it wasn’t like him. He just really liked Hannah and wanted to see where it would go. Him and his girlfriend had been getting distant before he even came to the US. He gets to stay for the
While America is different, it is the greatest country for its opportunities because it gives people from around the world a opportunity to restart their life and make it better. America is great to me because I always had the health care I needed and the support that you need to have a healthy life. America has fought many wars for this country and for many others, and I respect that others put themselves at risk to keep this country great and free.
Hannah was a good story teller and told stories to her friends. They were always interested in the stories which took their minds off what they were doing. Hannah told some of these stories in the camp, took people's mind off the terror they were in.

After many long weeks it seem to Rhoda, she finally going to Minnesota and learn so many new things. “Rhoda time to say goodbye to everyone,” Rhoda mother Pippi Mississippi yelled from downstairs. Rhoda closed her suitcase and ran downstairs with it. She smiled at her parents and all her friends, she hugged her friends Olivia, Amelia, and Ezra. “We will miss,” Amelia said. “Yeah, just because you are going to be gone for month does not me you cannot call us,” Ezra stated. Rhoda just stared at all three of her friends, Ezra was the tallest of the bunch and sometimes they called him big foot, Olivia is very athletic and loves to have a good time, and Amelia was the most emotional person of the bunch and sometimes very hard to be around. But, as she looked at her friends she knew she would miss them very much. “Group hug,” Olivia yelled as she made that motion to hug. “Guys I will be gone for one month nothing that big,” Rhoda said after their hug. They all smiled at each other as Rhoda dad begun to speak, “I think it time for you hoodrats to leave.” “I agree with him,” Rhoda mom Pippi said. “Well goodbye Rhoda Minnesota,” Olivia said as they walked out of Rhoda’s house. “Well do you have everything?” Murray asked Rhoda. That was a good question, Rhoda thought to herself; a question like that is hard to answer because a you never know what you need or what you have to have. Rhoda looked at her suitcase and
We are people, we have a focus on living life. We were made for a reason. Everyone has the right to live with life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. What is America today, what can we do to improve life for us and everyone around us. For us to be the best and do the best we have to be ambitious, set up purpose. As being ambitious you need to meet the standards of society also the standards that you make for yourself.
The girl woke up in an empty bed, Devon had dissapeared from the room and her entire life. Their relationship was quite brief, it lasted three hours to be precise. Devon could have contracted a sexually transmitted disease but he would care about all of that later. The most important thing he had to do right now was leave the country. His father had been assassinated by an unknown organisation and it wasn't safe for him to reside in New York
America. What comes to mind when you hear this word? While many may think of words, such as freedom, liberty, or equality, I think of words more like success, bravery and courage, and honor. These three words, in my opinion, all tie in together with the remarkable history of our country that has led up to the significant respect that stands today, for those who have fought for this country and never gave up in order to make this country a success. These men and women, have shown great bravery, which makes it only fair for us to show honor to them. In the next following statements, I will be discussing what makes the United States a success, who the people are that have shown great bravery and courage by fighting for what they believe in, and
Throughout American history many events have taken place, from the arrival of the first colonist to the Boston Massacre and even the formation of the first Continental Congress. But some of the more impactful events that are significant in my opinion that have made America the superior country that it is today, are the importation of slaves into the colonies, the Intolerable Acts and the Boston
Since she used Hannah to keep up with her reputation of “friendly with everyone”. Courtney even made her reputation worst by lying that she keeps sex toys in her dresser. It started how such as Tyler started spying on Hannah and that made her feel uncomfortable in her own house. Hannah lost it and felt ashamed for what Tyler was doing to her. Things such as taking pictures of her and believing that Hannah and Courtney didn’t know anything at all, but they did. It began when they were giving massages to each other and faking it and trying to see who it was. There is no such evidence that it can be Tyler but yet Hannah started calling him peeping tom and was sure it was him since he has camera equipment and he even flinched when she asked him where he was on the night in question and he responded nervously. Marcus on the other hand he was just a pervert that tried to get more out of Hannah. While it was supposed to be a date on Valentine’s Day it turned into fun and game for Marcus. Hannah is now convinced by Marcus that every choice she makes in matters of the heart is the wrong
Another important core belief is diversity. America is home to many different people these people come from different cultures, races, and beliefs. The diversity in this country makes this country so much stronger than other countries. My first quote comes from Sandee Bonita, of Washington, D.C. , “We pretty much take the best out of each and every single race that we have in here. And we enjoy it, and we celebrate the diversity that we have” (“What Unites US?”). This is what I truly love about being an American. In America we do not have a normal culture. Our culture is one that has shared characteristics of every culture in the world. Example of celebrating others diversity is in school we celebrate Hispanic month, Chinese New Years, and
Julia has just joined college and is sharing a dorm with her best friend, Cassidy Wright. While she is at the library with Cassidy, picking up her books for school, she meets a stranger, but very interesting guy named Beck Garrets. She thinks of him as a stalker when he starts to answer his own questions for her with all the right answers. He seemed to know everything about her, which Julia finds frightening, yet intriguing. She tries to get away as fast as she can, which makes Beck mad. He forces her to go back to his house. There, he rapes her and holds her hostage. After getting away from Beck, Julia starts going back to school. She never tells anyone, not even Cassidy. There, in one of her classes, she meets Shawn Burt. They instantly become friends
America was once a nation of happiness, diversity, and freedom. We would be known for our good citizenship, and as I grow older and realize that America is not as great as it once was, but I also start to realize that hatred towards either other countries or other people. I hope one day we can all open our eyes to understand that if we keep trying to tell other people that “USA is the best country” we won't improve. But I'm going to share with you what made America great.
Bobby tells Jacy that when she loses her virginity, she can come back to him - making Jacy eager to get her first time over with. Sonny and Duane go off to Mexico (this happens off screen) to go drink, party and have fun. When they get back, hung over, they see that the restaurant is closed, which is very odd because they never close, not even on holidays. They’re curious and go ask a man named Andy only to find out that Sam the lion had died of a stroke the morning before. The next day they go to Sam’s funeral. Everyone is there, for Sam was a very well-known man who everyone enjoyed having around. After the funeral, Duane and Jacy meet in a small motel room and whisper to each other “I love you”. They had planned on having sex, but for some reason, Duane was unable to perform and Jacy gets very mad at him and tells him not to leave the room yet so that everybody won’t know they didn’t have sex. Outside, are a few teenage girls eager to listen to Jacy about how it went - and Jacy tells them it was
America’s gift to my generation is choice of life.
