The life of David showed about how he applied the managerial principle in his life. He applied each of managerial principles (organizing, planning, leading, and controlling) throughout his experience of life. This particular story helps Christians to look into the importance of management values from the Biblical perspective. By knowing the life of David, Christians can understand about the example and lessons that God had put in the Bible relating the topic of organizing, planning, leading, and controlling. Organizing David’s organizational skills were completely seen through the establishment of his armies’ work-time. God blessed David with wisdom about doing His commands in accordance with God’s will. David assembled his people and told them that he had a plan to build a temple of God for being a place to worship God However, God refused David’s permission to build the Temple, because he was a warrior and had spilled blood. Therefore, he planned his son, Solomon to continue the plan that God gave to him, because God had chosen Solomon, who became a person to continue His plan, which is written in the Bible: “And he said unto me, Solomon thy son, he shall build my house and my courts: for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father” (1 Chronicles 28:6). Therefore, Solomon constructed the Temple, according to David’s plan. Application: One area that I can apply David’s strategies of planning in my life is through planning my future goals. When I was in high school, I had a dream to be a doctor. In order to reach the dream, I studied hard in the class and planned to apply for a great university in my country. Even though I had planned everything to reach the dream, God had a different plan for me, because the situation made me change my mind and I decided to be an entrepreneur when I graduated from university. I joined PCC because beside of my desire to be an entrepreneur, I also want to apply God’s values in my life. I plan to do a business that involves in an electronic business area, because I think it has a great future prospect.
