Recently there has been some debate about whether we should raise the minimum wage in America. Now there would be some ups and downs for both of them, but I personally think we should raise it. Mainly because people are barely getting by bill to bill. Plus some people have some kids, they have to take care of and have to buy them food as well. But there would be a risk about the economy and a lot could happen if we just raised maybe if we even raised five dollars. But I have some very key reasons why think we should raise.

Which that could really happen and we would have to be careful about that happening if we did raise the minimum wage. But just think about people who can't have enough money to feed themselves or their children. Some people are barely getting by bill to bill because they pay minimum wage for working up to 8 hours. Raising it by any amount would help, I think it is better than it not being raised at all. But also something to think about is, the owners of the restaurants. Because if we raise the minimum wage they would have to pay more for their workers, which could really affect their businesses.
Those were some reasons that I found to support why we should raise it. One reason to support raising it would to prevent less poverty. Also it would help by raising it for all the single parents who have children and themselves to feed when they are getting paid only minimum wage. The only downside raising minimum wage is that the economy could get hurt, but I think if we raise it little by little each year, then we can get it to a higher point and still have a strong economy. But that would still take a little while before we can get to that
