The Importance Of Recidivism In North Korea

I would be more afraid of having to face my friends or relatives because they are what is most important to me. A jail is comfortable, they have a warm bed, 3 meals a day, a gym, TV, computer access, library, phone, etc., all for free! I just do not believe we have strict enough laws and hard enough repercussions to make the threat of jail scary. Take North Korea and their Prison 22, they are often tortured in various ways to prevent recidivism and honestly, for the pure pleasure of the authorities. I bet you, North Korea has a lower recidivism rate than the United States. However, I am not arguing for torture, I am more so arguing for less comfortable punishments. Make the inmates sleep on the floor, make them only get 2 meals a day, take
