But there is also a lot of dangerous things that can happen while playing it. Such as getting hit by a ball, sliding and hurting your leg, getting cleated, running into the wall trying to catch a home run, and getting hit my a bat. But don’t let those thing scare you from wanting to play or learn how to play the game.
The first step in baseball is picking what position. There are nine positions for defense and one position for offense. If you just wanted to hit the ball with the bat then you would want to play offense. Each position desires a certain skill.

Baseball 101 (Introduction) Baseball is more than what people actually think it may be. Some think it’s just all about hitting and catching the ball. The types of data I want to gather is basically just wanting know what knowledge people know about baseball. You need to be able to be mentally focused in order to play the game of baseball.
Once you step in the batters box, your mind focuses on putting the ball in play. It gets more difficult the more you think about it and think about the physics. The pitcher stands 60 feet and 6 inches away on the mound looking at you, standing on an 10 inch (25 cm) rubber above the home plate. You stand at the plate knowing to might face a 95 to 100 mph fastball speeding at you with no force to stop it but the swing of the bat. (Seedlink. 2009) You have less than 2.5 seconds to decide on what pitch is coming at you and on whether to swing or not. Baseball is one of the most demanding sports for hand eye coordination. Hitting a 9.25 inch circumference ball with a 2.75 inch diameter round bat is one of the most challenging things an athlete
Out of all the vast variety of sports there are, baseball is the most challenging and difficult sport to play. No other sport compares to the degree of difficulty that you have to deal with, like you do in playing the game of baseball. There are so many different elements that make this game the most difficult. Three major elements stick out in my mind as to why this wonderful sport is the toughest of all. The three main factors in my mind are the increased physical and hand eye coordination component, the mental aspect of this game, and the human interdependence between umpires, which are a vital part in every play.
Something that makes me happy is baseball. I love being on the field and just doing my best. Baseball has always been there for me when no one else was, anytime I was angry or upset before a game or practice it'd immediately go away when I stepped on the field. It's something i've always worked hard at and never gave up on no matter what and i've put a lot of effort and time into it.

The fear of trying to hit a baseball is real. Standing approximately 65 feet away from someone who is throwing a small ball, that feels like a rock, 95 miles per hour is scary. Not only is this ball coming in very fast, but this ball can kill

Baseball is a great sport that kids want to pursue when they're older. It’s a game with 9 people on the field at a time and 2 or 3 subs on the bench. Only one person is able to bat at a time. You go through the order as many times as possible. Baseball is a game that lots of kids enjoy playing but don’t get to enjoy. However, our district gives the girls a chance to play softball. So many people might think that baseball is very dangerous, but if you think about it basketball is more physical. Although, people think that getting hit by a ball will hurt a lot, which is true, people have to know when playing any sport there is a chance that you will get hurt. That’s just part of the game. Baseball is such an important part of my life, it allows me to have fun with friends while striving to become a better ballplayer every day. I have been playing since I was four, and since then I have learned numerous key things about the game. Baseball does not only require physical strength but also requires an amazing mindset as well. In order to become the best baseball player possible, I must have a great mindset, including qualities such as mental preparation, concentration, and a positive attitude.
First I will talk about the players on teams and what each player does during a game, then I will tell you about the different positions of the field, and lastly on what a team will do on both the Offense and Defense.
Baseball is played on a field, which usually covers about two acres. The field is divided into an infield and an outfield. These two parts are considered fair territory and the rest of the field is considered foul. The infield is in the shape of a diamond and is 90 ft on each side. One point of the diamond is home plate which batters hit from. The other three points are bases: first, second, and third base. In the middle of the diamond is a pitchers mound which is slightly raised off the ground. The edges of the diamond from home plate to first base and home plate to third base are the foul lines, which extend all the way to the wall in the outfield. Behind first base is right field, behind second base is called center field, and behind third base is called left field. Fences are placed at the farthest limits in the outfield. In foul territory beyond the foul lines in the infield are dugouts where players sit when they are not playing or waiting to bat.
When I hear the song “Take Me Out To The Ball Game” I immediately think of softball, and when I think of softball, I think of the amazing feeling I have when I step up to the batter’s box. If you don’t know what softball is, it is the feminine form of baseball with similar rules as well as many modifications to make it easier for women and young girls to play. I remember my first high school game. My whole family was there and all of my closest friends. I was batting fifth and there was no one on base. If you are not familiar with neither baseball nor softball, if you don’t get out you are then on one of four bases where you must reach each base before you score. So in other words, you start by batting then going to first, second, third, and finally home base. I was so nervous about the fact that I already had two strikes and this next pitch could be it; I could be out. In softball as well baseball you get three strikes and if you fail to hit the ball you are out. As the ball was coming toward me, I swung all the way through and when I hit it, the ball sliced between a defensive players glove. I had my first single ever! Everyone should experience getting their first hit whether it is on an actual softball team, or just a couple of people playing around at a park. It is both fun and easy to bat if you just apply the correct methods.
All sports are hard to learn how to play but it takes practice. My brother always ask me “how do I get better”. I believe that baseball is one of the hardest out of all sports to play and learn.
Baseball is a sport that can be played from the time you are young until you are older. The focus of the game is to hit the ball far enough that you can run the bases. Once you get all the way around, your team scores a point. The team who scores the most runs, or points, wins the game. The teams can be made up of a number of players, but only certain ones are able to actually hit the ball.
