To improve overall physical fitness and health of students and Teachers I suggest that the schools holds a touch tournemant during Term 3 as it should be the optimal temperature conditions to encourage student participation
Any durable coaching process must contain three elements: managing expectations (the game plan), monitoring performance (watching the play), and giving feedback (time out). Expectations must be agreed upon both in output terms and in terms of the behaviours demanded. The criteria for success must be specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time bounded. (S.M.A.R.T.).
This term in PE we have been focusing on energy systems and exercise physiology principles in Touch Football. In touch there are three positions: middle, link and wing. My fitness results, when compared to an Australian Touch Association player (ATA player), are only satisfactory. My speed and cardiovascular endurance were within range of ATA players but my agility was not, therefore, I have chosen wing as my best-suited position as the key fitness components for this position are speed, agility, power and cardiovascular endurance. In order for me to improve in my least acquired skill, agility, I must incorporate agility based skill exercises into my Dingo Flats training program. The purpose of this presentation is to present and evaluate the
"The structural level is concerned with the factors such as resources, rewards, social position and power" (Kirk et al. 1999 p.130)
Term 3 commenced with each boy studying HPE in year 11, participating in the sport Touch Football. In this subject the cohort has been analysing the relationships between different energy systems and components of fitness that need to be acquired to successfully participate in the physical activity. Components of fitness are described as basic qualities that demonstrate the ability to complete daily tasks with energy, reduced health risks, and participate in a variety of physical activities (1). This presentation will give a thorough reflection on Touch football and what energy systems are of most importance to the sport. I will also be reflecting on the components of fitness that I personally need to work on which is observed from primary data collected in the HPE classes. Also methods of improvement toward specific components of fitness.
* Coaching This is a process that supports and enables an individual to unlock and maximise their own potential, to develop and improve performance. Coaching helps the individual to learn rather than be taught. Coaching believes the individual is best to take responsibility for own actions and solutions with subtle guidance and prompts. This is an excellent way of improving performance through reflection. Enabling control and development to remain with the individual with the coach helping to unlock own potential. The ‘GROW’ model of coaching (Whitmore, 2009) provides a structured model for the coach. G= Goal setting asks questions to encourage the
The game of football is a collision sport where injuries are not preventable; however youth football leagues have an establishment of standard procedures and requirements for game play. Initiating standards and requirements for game play are necessary to lessen the risk of being seriously injured. Instilling an age and weight requirement will level the playing field where all participants are approximately equal in size. Creating different divisions are determined by a strict age and weight scale to ensure safe and balanced competition. There should be no advantages gained where bigger children compete against smaller children. The disparity of bigger children competing
Pro-Con: Football is a dangerous contact sport because it was found that 110 of 111 deceased football player had CTE.
Tai and Miltenberger (2017) studied the effects of behavioral skills training (BST) on tackling safety with 10 to 11-year-old football players. This research is important to look at, because there has been a growing rate in the amount of injuries in football in the past few years which usually links back to poor tackling form. This tackling forms consists of the player leading with their head, which can cause injury to them and to the other player if their heads collide. Also, most research has been done on high school aged kids, so they chose to see the effects on a younger group of kids. They specifically chose to use BST because this approach had been used to train children in many areas of safety such as fire safety, abduction prevention, firearm safety, and school
To start my research, I discussed my topic with my dad. He played competitive football for over ten
Hello today I am explain which level of Figueroa’s Framework has had the greatest effect on my personal participation in touch football in secondary school.Figueroa’s Framework is a series of levels that can either enhance or disable people from activities better definition required, research and reference. These barriers that affect me for why I do and don't participate in touch football both at Gilroy and outside schooling will be analysed but before this you should have a brief understanding of the five levels of Figueroa's Framework.
This was the first study to knowledge that was done to associate head collisions relevance in youth football leagues with dissimilar coaching instruction programs. This study was one of the biggest models of youth football players to wear accelerometers throughout a complete youth football season. Largely, the study established that youth football players who partook in Heads Up Football associations received fewer collisions to the head per practice at both the 10g and 20g starting points. Over the progression of a 12-week youth football season with an average of 3 practices per week, this would compare to 90 less collisions over 20g or 36 lesser over 10g. These alterations were also continued when studying the 8- to 11-year and 12- to 15-year
It should be obvious after the first practice which players have have a general aptitude for the skilled positions. Continued collection of data from drills and sprints should be used to confirm
The coach has the most responsibility to inspire players into deep practice and ignition through Master Coaching. It is the coach’s responsibility to build myelin circuits for each player based on their individual personalities. The coach must tell the player how to practice in order to develop the skill circuit to fire the right way. The coach must know how to coach and interpret each players learning style. Each player may require a different style of coaching in order to ignite them
Since the creation of man, sports have had a tremendous role in the way people live their lives. From the time we are born, until our elderly age, most of us are involved in some way with sports. Whether it is a scrimmage game of soccer at recess in elementary school, playing on the varsity athletic team or simply watching the Olympics or sporting events on television, sports have an influential role in our everyday lives. The outstanding popularity of the sports industry has profoundly affected youth sports organizations that an estimated twenty-six million children ages six through eighteen participate in at least one school or community based athletic program (Smith & Smoll, 1997). Well structured sport programs can provide youths with
