Over the years I have become very familiar with writing long papers, reading books and articles, and researching different topics. I can remember not knowing where to even start writing a paragraph in third grade to not knowing where to start writing a one-page paper in middle school. I finally got to high school and two to three-page essays was all I knew. In elementary I was already reading chapter books, and writing summaries for submission. By high school I was reading two books at a time. The only thing that was new to me beginning high school was research.
Writing is very exciting to me at times. I like expressing myself in diary entries. I enjoy writing about how my day starts and concludes. When I write, new things are always

I like these types of books because of the style and the message. They are not structured, so you will see a lot of slang and misspelled words. I find myself putting pictures to the names easily because I know people who experience the things that go on in the books. I am the type of reader who stop and think about what might happen next, and I also make a lot of connections. I am the type of person who loves to find out new things. I like researching things I am interested in. At the end of my twelfth-grade year I had to submit a ten-page research paper on any topic I chose. I chose LeBron James, my favorite basketball player. I already knew things about him as a basketball player but as I researched about him I found out a lot of other stuff that I never knew before. That is what is so great about research. I used many sources, but only the ones that was valid and up to date. The process I took made the paper very easy to write. I made note cards, bibliography cards, an annotated bibliography, and an outline. After doing all of this, my research paper was pretty much complete. I just had to put it together. I have never used Academic Search Complete or Academic Onefile, but I am familiar with Discuss. It is a Library database that I used quite a bit in high school. I used it on my ten-page research paper. In conclusion, as I think about my writing, and reading, they both kind of correlate. I both like writing
Writing is not just marking letters, words, or symbols on a piece of work. My perspective states that writing is not just expressing yourself through words; in fact, it is mostly one’s expression; your emotions, thoughts, beliefs, etc. Correspondingly, according to myself, writing is extremely artistic and evocative way to reveal one self’s personality. Most important, I am in the creative writing class, because I desired to be in it, due to the fact that it is my passion, it is a way I can express myself thoroughly, and it makes me feel as if I am in a whole different world where I can reveal everything I desire.
For the most part, I like to write. I surprise myself sometimes when I read what I have written. Essays don’t seem to be that hard for me and most of the time comes naturally to write. Ever since I was younger, reading and writing were always my strong points in school. Math and science didn’t stand
Writing is a tool that we have all been using in one capacity or another since we were probably kids. I remember as a youngster when I could not express how I felt about a particular issue I was told to write it down so I can make more sense of my feelings. Those are my first experiences with writing and where my relationship started develop. As I've gotten older, I have learned to really Express my feelings rather good or bad in my writing. This is where I fell in love with it. The fact that it doesn't matter what the circumstance or the situation is, I can put it on paper and it automatically makes sense. There are so many things writing has taught me over the years and I am very excited about it because it gives me a pleasure that I
Reading is really great, but for me, I do not like writing as much as reading. Many people enjoy writing over reading, except I am complete opposite. When I sit down and read a good book, I can read for hours. Writing on the other hand, just does not come naturally. Books like, American Sniper, The Monuments Men, and Unbroken really got me interested in reading books about war and history. I like to write, if it is a topic I can write about. If I get an easy topic, that I can brainstorm great idea’s.
Before starting school, I incapable to write or speak English at all. Because English is my second language I had a hard time understanding how to read and write in English. My parents and older siblings would often teach me the basics of having to know my numbers, ABCs, and by making me memorizing saying simple sentences and questions. English is everyone in my family's second language and because we did not grow up learning how to speak, read, and write in English which made it difficult for me when school started.
I know I will probably have to when I get out of school but I this moment there is no time I can think back to where writing is an everyday occurrence. The only time where I can say I use writing is just for other classes homework other than that there is nothing. I am actually happy about that because I never find anything fun about writing that only good thing about it is when you finally finish. When it comes to writing different pieces of paper it’s like choosing the lesser of two evil. If I would get the chance to choose a paper I would be forced to write I think it would be best to write a research paper. I know the research paper would take more time to get prepared before you start writing, but once you get all the research material writing the paper is the easiest part. When you have the information for the paper you don’t need much creativity to actually write the paper. All you have to do is just slap all of the information onto the paper and just write in transition to get to one part of the paper to the other. My least favorite type of writing to do has to be and autobiography or a personal essay. Even though I feel like it should be the easiest paper to write since you have to talk about yourself, but I always have trouble talking about myself since whatever I say I feel it doesn’t
Writing has been an outlet for me, and has allowed me to express my passions, guided me along a trying time in my life, and has forced me to acknowledge that I can’t let a disease define who I am, and moreover has pushed me to discover that I’m a passionate young man
It came very easy to me knowing how to structure the paper and using citations. Other than that, the flow of research paper is what I love most, starting off with what you believe in, and then taking an opposing point to just make your argument stronger. I have mostly had success with papers that I can dive into and zone out when writing causing all the words to flow onto the page swiftly. In eleventh grade I had to write a paper comparing two novels, not only were the books incredibly old and boring, but I felt as if I could not add as much style to the paper and make it come from the heart. I found myself waiting till the last minute to complete assignments for the paper. It was a big failure for me when I saw my grade and did not know how I ended up with such a low grade because I usually ace papers. Thinking back I wish I would have put more effort in and not have procrastinated writing the essay. I had a lot of grammar mistakes that I know I could have fixed if I would have been more diligent. Grammar has not always been my strong suit even when I edit multiple times. Finally, senior year and I get to write another persuasive research paper on animal testing, a topic near and dear to my
Writing is more enjoyable for me than reading. While writing I enjoy being able to put my thoughts and emotions into words for others to read. I hope that my words can change others opinions and thoughts on a subject. For this reason, I enjoy writing argumentative and persuasive essays the most.
I love and live to write. I have a fascination with words and their usage, along with the study of linguistics as a whole. I believe my unwavering passion for writing, which has continued for almost 30 years, gives me an advantage over other authors.
From a very young age, writing has been a passion of mine. Through writing I have developed an
The process of writing seems pretty simple in theory. What is your topic? research the topic, write an essay on your topic, and then turn that assignment in and hope you got it right. The difficult part is being proficient about doing this so that when you turn your paper in, you know you gave it your one hundred percent effort, so that when the grade comes, you are not shocked. When I got this assignment on how write an essay well, I immediately thought of when I was in a creative writing class in elementary. I thought about those early papers, the more I realized that certain details have remained, such as my procrastination, over-thinking of very simple topics. The way I write my papers is defiantly an insight of me and my personality,
Reading and writing were two things my parents use to always push me to improve and work on more often. They always told me they are the essentials of everything thing. Even though I disliked both at a young age as I grew older I preferred writing because I can always change the way I write and write from my point of view, really be creative with it and prove my point. Growing up I always loved writing short stories especially scary stories. I always was creative with them and even made them realistic. To write an essay I usually have a couple of steps writing an outline, and the thesis a draft and finally a final draft. The most difficult part about this is writing the thesis because the whole essay revolves the thesis because it summarizes the whole essay. At the end of some essays, I had to use citations to do that there were many websites that helped me cite sources such as easybib which was a really simple process. So, citing sources was one of the easiest things about writing the essay.
Writing has always played a huge role in my life. I’ve been reading writing for as long as I can remember as I have an immense love of reading. This love would grow into a love for writing as well; I still stumble upon journals and writings from my five-year-old self about the happenings in my kindergarten class. As time would go on I would discover academic writing, and how to convey my thoughts on what was the topic of student that particular year or semester in my schooling. Later, writing would become a constant for me, and a comfort; I was known to my friends as always having a journal, and a pen on my person. I learned to write down my feelings and my thoughts, song lyrics that were in my head, reflections for the day. I learned how
My love of reading transformed into a love of writing quickly. Writing allows me to enter a space of relaxation and freedom. I am able to express my thoughts and opinions in my own voice and through my own words. Writing is something that takes time and skill to master, and I am striving to better my writing with every paper I write, and with every book I read.
