The importance of a pharmacist in the community. This is because they will always provide medical care, consultation services, and health care advices to the community. A doctor, a caretaker, a Pharmacist, my mother, my brother, and sister are people of medicine who form part of this unique community, which has existed for ages. There is no doubt that from the early colonial days to the modern days, pharmaceutical services are needed in our daily lives. The paper aims at identifying the discourse community show the literacies in the community, the lexis, and the genre. Many people may wonder if this discourse community has changed through time, whether the lexicon in pharmaceutical has changed or stayed the same since early ages, and whether the labeling of drugs and writing process changed or stayed the same. Identity An injured or sick person has always turned to someone who can help them for assistance. Many times, a mother offers her household remedies. A mother will always provide her assistance to cure small or minor health cases such as a minor cut, minor headache, or a minor stomachache. However, these remedy recipes came from a person who is more accustomed for healing practices using spices and herbs (Shababy 143). This person is known as an apothecary. An apothecary is a medical professional who expresses and dispenses medical materials to patients, surgeons, and physicians.
