In this way, it is fundamental to note that such an increase is likely to impact extensively on the performance of nurses and the general efficiency of the nursing profession. An increase of such nurses to 80% would certainly mean that the care and duty normally provided by the nurses will certainly improve. Considering that most nurses only hold diploma certificates as the basis for their service, an increase in degrees will mean that more nurses will have learnt more about the nursing profession. In this regard, their performance would be expected to increase drastically. In the same way, the government will certainly be forced to chuck out more money in paying the nurses since the increase in the level of qualifications for the nurses would have to be accompanied by an increase in their salaries and wages. On the other hand, it is presumed that such an increase in the number of nurses with degrees might negatively affect the nursing profession in case the nurses are not sufficiently paid. Most of them would thereby opt to offer their services in the private sector in case the government is unwilling to remunerate them effectively.
