II. Indian men and women love to wear their traditional clothes and accessories during festivals and occasions which are an integral part of Indian life.
A. Women wear a "Sari" which is a very long piece of colorful cloth they wrapped around themselves.
1. Colors of saris are of great importance because each color has its own symbol.For example:
a. White was special for women of upper classes. However, today colors have become more dominant, and white is only worn by widows.
b. Red is associated with marriages. It is a must in the closet of the bride
c. The green color has Islamic connotations being mostly worn by Muslim groups.
