Thanks to The National FFA Organization's Instagram post on “You know you’re an FFA member when...” When I wrote this article there had been 607 comments from members, alumni, and advisors. This just shows that not only does FFA impact your life while a member, but it continues throughout life whether its memories, life lessons or stories to tell anyone you encounter. Here are just a couple of responses to the post: “Madam vice president are all officers at their stations?” I don’t think I need to continue, but if you did parliamentary procedure or was an officer for no matter what level. you know and can recite opening ceremony. Out of everything you learned from “Roberts Rules of Order” point of order was probably your favorite thing
Calloway Kile Mrs. Tinberg 5th Period February 29th, 2024 Inaugural address Imagine having a president that you have no trust in, it would make you feel scared about what's going to happen to the country right? So you would have to gain trust in them by getting to know them and being persuaded. In his Presidential Inaugural Address, John F. Kennedy seeks to gain trust with the public as he assumes the role of the nation's president. His primary objective is to persuade citizens to have confidence in his leadership, discarding any thoughts of him being a bad president. John F. Kennedy, “Presidential Inaugural Address” Uses Logos and Pathos to persuade the United States to have faith in him as president.
Philip Malloy and Miss Narwin get into an argument during the morning announcements about Philip having the right to sing our national anthem. Miss Narwin won this argument.
FBLA membership has benefitted me because I can truly say it led me to my career choice. Junior year I had the opportunity to participate in the SBE Program at the Ste. Genevieve Care Center. By being a part of this program, I was required to join FBLA. Although FBLA was an organization I had wanted to join for a while, I needed a push to get involved in the club. Being involved in this club was one of the greatest decisions I have made during my high school career. My first year in the organization, I competed in the straight to state event, Social Media Campaign. Due to this participation, I attended the District Leadership Conference where I was a timekeeper and the State Leadership Conference, where my partner and I presented our project. The State Leadership Conference was a memorable event as it was different than any other conference I had attended before. That year I also served on multiple committees and assisted in the decorating of the Senior Citizen’s Christmas Dinner.
I have been President of my 4-H club and Vice President of Haskell County 4-H Council for 3 years which has helped me become more comfortable speaking in front of a group of and running a club. My sophomore year I also took a speech class. Question 4: Select one of your personal qualities and explain how it will be of value to the officer team.
I am beyond honored for your invitation to address this Joint Session of Congress in the astonishing country that can promise freedom and liberty to all. I would like to think of this moment as a success in the work of my people as we make our contributions toward this prosperous country.
The commencement and succession on Inauguration Day of the great commitment exchanged from one existence to another as the President of the United States initiates a time when honor, commitment, and loyalty is expressed through the words spoken forth by the newly appointed Chief Executive of the United States of America. The inauguration of the former John F. Kennedy on Friday, January 20, 1961, in an openly structured portico in the United States Capitol represents a public vow to the entire nation. Meanwhile, as the first televised president in history, the country as a whole was all vigilantly watching and attentively listening on this day in 1961. It was on this day, in Washington D.C. that John F. Kennedy establishes his ethos, pathos, and logos in his infamous, well-articulated speech to the nation before him while delivering one of the most memorable inaugural speeches to the United States. This speech is a paradigm of rhetorical devices working together to form a powerful statement.
According to the National FFA organization the mission is “FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.” I believe the FFA has achieved their goal, FFA has made a positive difference in my life. To me FFA is like a family, that is always there for me and pushes me to do better. I have made friendships that are going to last forever.
I was scared, nervous, and excited. As rehearsal started, it didn’t really hit me. Then as the ceremony began I started watching the other officers get installed into their new stations until I was the only one sitting west of the altar as my best friend and role model of 5 years said “Installing Guide and Installing Marshal, You will cause the Honored Queen to kneel and place her hands on the open holy bible.” My immediate thought was “Oh my god, that’s me. I am going to be Honored queen in a matter of minutes” I repeated the obligation and listened as the presiding officer told me about my duties as Honored Queen. Then, she walked around the altar and placed the long cape on my shoulders and somehow it felt a lot heavier than I remembered when we were taking pictures. Then she placed the crown on my head. Oh boy that crown was beautiful. It was a shimmery gold with purple and white
He begins the speech by saying, "Good afternoon. " On my orders, the United States military has begun strikes against al Qaeda terrorist training camps and military installations of the Taliban regime in Afghanistan. " This statement sets the tone for the rest of the speech and establishes the urgency and seriousness of the
The FFA pin means alot to me because it was the first time that I did something and went to state. Back at Sac City we started FFA in 8th grade and I was in FFA last year but when I moved. I didn’t go out because I didn’t want to take ag classes anymore. We didn’t get the uniform that everyone else got since we were only in 8th grade. My group was Brenna Vauble, Amanda Thies, Cody Pierce, Alex Cromwell, and Mackenzie Weeks. We did a script about the tourist attractions in Iowa. It was originally Amanda, Mackenzie, Brenna, and me, but Alex and Cody joined later in the project. At district, we got 2nd and at state we got 5th, so we didn’t make it to nationals.
In my first year as a Freshman FFA member I had no idea what to expect in the FFA, yet I was challenged and excited to participate because I saw how much the organization had changed my brother. I was driven to be the first one to say the FFA creed to my advisor on the first day of school, and who knew this personal drive was just the beginning of my FFA career and the endless opportunities provided to me in the past three years. As a freshman I was elected a Greenhand officer and was able to attend my first National FFA Convention. I was taken under my brother’s wing, and he was able to show me the pathways and his passion for the FFA, thus I began to love the organization more and more as the year progressed. My Freshman year I tried out
Considering I don’t have many chances outside of school to do service, FBLA has given me the opportunity to give back to my community. I have helped FBLA with mum orders and Krispy Kreme orders. In helping with these order I helped unload, count, and distribute orders. Helping with these orders I learned to work well with other people. Helping to unload the mums is the best example of this. As other students and I unloaded the mums we came up with a system similar to how a conveyer belt would work. One person would take the mum off the cart, hand it to the next student in line, so on and so worth until it got to the last student who would put the mum on the table. This system was efficient because we got done unloading the orders faster than previous years. Along with FBLA giving me the opportunity to give back to the community, it has helped me become a better leader. FBLA gave me the chance to attend the Region Leadership Workshop. The Region Leadership Workshop taught be how to be a superior leader in the business world which could translate to school. FBLA has played an enormous role in developing my character.
Hilary Mantel starts her speech by telling how she, last summer, was asked to name a famous person and choose a book to give them. She chose Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, "a jointed doll on which certain rags are hung". This is a good way to start the speech because Hilary Mantel has now introduced her real purpose with the speech: to discuss the effect of monarchy.
“My nobles, I greatly appreciate your attendance in my great honor.” Tzar Temnota exclaimed. Cheers could be heard throughout the hall.
The American rhetoric of Presidents like Barack Hussein Obama and John F. Kennedy, who both served the United States of America are found in the corners of history. The inaugural speeches of Barack Obama and John F. Kennedy are given after reciting the oath of office as newly elected leaders of the country in the case of Kennedy and a second inauguration for the current commander-of-chief. The inaugural speeches of John F. Kennedy and Barack Obama are part of world history knowing that the United States of America is still the most powerful and influential nation in the world.
