Everyday I see people getting dress coded for small things when there’s people that are dressed more provocative. You can get dress coded for simply showing your shoulders or your back while there’s girls basically wearing nothing. They are teaching girls that they should dress a certain way not to distract others. Why? They should teach others to stop acting like they have never seen shoulders or thighs before. I am mainly directing this towards females because they are the ones mainly being victimized. Guys show their chest and stomach but get told nothing. It is unfair treatment. Us girls want to express ourselves freely without getting our clothes taken away and wearing the clothes we sweat in for the rest of the day. (Seidel, Summers

code, they shame girls for their bodies and having to be more aware about it. Not only is this in dress code but as a society.
In the novel Enrique’s Journey I feel Enrique is a perpetrator of crime. He unlawfully enters the US in the hope of finding his mother. Yes, it is a heartbreaking story, but that still does not excuse the fact that he broke the law. There are some dangers when attempting to illegally enter the US such as death and diseases. Death is a concern for the person trying to enter the US; they can be killed along the way by countless different ways, such as: Starvation, dehydration, burns, falling off of trains, freezing, and murder. They also can bring diseases into the United States that can kill many. When Unaccompanied Alien Children are apprehended Border Patrol and other guards are forced to watch and care for them. Some children may have diseases and a guard may catch it. Many undocumented people lack basic vaccinations. This is not only affecting the person who is travelling, but others around them too.
1929 "At San Diego, California, there is a small piece of land, on which, in the year 1929 there was built a house, which is called and known as Beth Sarim. The Hebrew words Beth Sarim mean 'House of the Princes'; and the purpose of acquiring that property and building the house was that there are those on earth today who fully believe in God and Christ Jesus and in His Kingdom, and who believe that the faithful men of old will soon be resurrected by the Lord, be back on earth, and take charge of the visible affairs of earth. The title to Beth Sarim is vested in the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society in trust, to be used by the president of the Society and his assistants for the present, and thereafter to be forever at the disposal of the
Racial profiling occurs when authority uses someone’s race or ethnicity to decide whether or not to use enforcement. This controversial act is highly illegal and is mostly caused by stereotypes of certain races and ethnicities. Black males are mostly targeted due to the color of their skin, the type of car they drive, the genre of music they are listening to and how they are dressed. Some call this act DWB, driving while black. Black males are stopped and searched constantly with no probable cause just because of their race and gender. If a group of black males are riding in a car with hats on, and loud music they are more likely to get stopped than a group of white males doing the same thing. It is
People aren't angry about just this singular issue. They're frustrated with the repeated injustices and failure for the system to work for people of color.
Since the birth of our nation, racial profiling has been an issue longstanding and troubling among minority groups and still continues to exhibit severe consequences in communities.
Racism has been a big problem in the U.S. for all races for a very long time and continues to be a problem to this day,. Racism has been a big part in U.S. history and has changed over time, some of these races were African Americans, American Indians, and Mexican Americans, for American Indians it was how they were treated wrong socially and economically.
Clearly identifying and acknowledging the existence of racial profiling is critical to understand its value or lack thereof in society. Racial profiling is not a new practice or term, the origins of racial profiling can be traced back to the days of slavery in America. African-American slaves were viewed as subservient and therefore inferior to whites. This view of African-Americans came with stereotypes such as laziness, ill-mannered, uncontrollable and predisposed to crime and violence. In 1693, Philadelphia courts enacted laws which allowed constables to stop and detain any “negro” seen walking around without their master (Maclin, 1998). The historical context of laws such as those passed in Philadelphia and elsewhere in the United States have a clear nexus to the subject of racial profiling.
In the Justice System there are a lot of flaws that affect many people of color, and from past history, it has shown how these practices can lead to very unfortunate events, one of these practices is racial profiling. Racial profiling is when law enforcement uses race and ethnicity as grounds to determine if someone, typically of color, is guilty of doing something illegal. Racial profiling is a major problem in this country, this as well affects many citizens that are mainly of color because law enforcement usually sees them as targets, and it is important to improve and fixed this issue because there are many tragic incidents that have been caused of racial profiling.
The concern about racial profiling is erupting throughout the nation. Many cities and states have decided to study racial profiling, or how race and ethnicity may play a part in traffic stops by law enforcement in their jurisdictions. There seems to be a generally accepted understanding of what profiling is. Profiling is the law-enforcement practice of scrutinizing certain individuals based on characteristics thought to indicate a likelihood of criminal behavior. Yet there are two variations concerning the application of racial profiling. Profiling either utilizes race as a sole means of directing police attention, or uses race as a part of a larger set of characteristics and behaviors that lead to police involvement (Chan, 2011, pg. 75). Regardless of the definition of racial profiling, the debate over racial profiling centers on two questions. Does racial profiling actually occur? and Is racial profiling being used and is profiling a legitimate tool of law enforcement?
The purpose of the paper is to identify, how racial profiling is not a legitimate tool for law enforcement agencies. The definition of the racial profiling is the consideration of race, ethnicity, or national origin by an officer of the law in deciding when and how to intervene in an enforcement capacity (Racial Profiling, 2008). The practice of racial profiling is illegal. Racial profiling violates the fourth and fourteenth amendment to the U.S. Constitution. The fourth amendment indicates [it goes against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched,
Racism and racial stereotypes have existed throughout human history. The radical belief associated by thinking the skin color, language, or a person’s nationality is the reason that someone is one way or another has become extremely detrimental to society. Throughout human existence it has sparked tension between groups of people and ultimately influenced wars and even caused slavery. Racism in America dates back to when Native Americans were often attacked, relocated, and assimilated into European culture. Since then, racism within the states has grown to include various other cultures as well. In the essays by Brent Staples, Bharati Mukherjee, and Manuel Munoz, they discuss the various causes as well as the effects that racial stereotyping can place on a victim and the stigma it leaves behind for the society to witness.
If love has no color, how about justice? Is justice defined by any color in the United States of America, a country that is well known for its diversity and prosperity? Sadly to say, the existence and the usage of the word “stereotype” has raised doubts about justice since it has existed and progressed as part of the American culture for a long time. Stereotype can be classified into many subcategories, one of which is racial profiling. This issue, where authorities target certain individuals based on their racial characteristics, has never ceased. According to many influential claimsmakers, racial profiling has stained the United States by negatively affecting society and disturbing the certainty of justice. It is unconstitutional and
