When faced with hardships, it is common practice for humans to turn to other humans for advice and support. The influences received have the potential to sway a person to act in a way they would not have acted previously. This is evident in William Shakespeare’s Macbeth where the male lead, Macbeth, is influenced by Lady Macbeth, and The Witches. These characters are pivotal to the majority of action in the play, as they are manipulative, conscienceless women who influence Macbeth for their own selfish reasons.
Throughout the play, Lady Macbeth and The Witches are very relevant to the plot, as they manipulate Macbeth into doing many dreadful deeds. Macbeth begins as a notable general in the Scottish army, but quickly evolves into a mass murderer.
