Steering Committee The Steering Committee made of six ICH Parties who govern the ICH, determines the policies and procedures, selecting topics for harmonisation and monitoring progress of harmonisation initiatives. The ICH Steering committee consists of: • European Commission • European Federation of pharmaceutical industries and Associations (EFPIA) • Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (JAPAN) • Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association(JPMA) • Food and Drug administration(FDA) • Pharmaceutical and Research and Manufacturers of America(PhRMA) The ICH Global Cooperation Group (GCG) and the ICH MedDRA management Board are subcommittees of ICH Streeting Committees The International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) announced on 8 July 2014 that the influential international pharmaceutical regulatory harmonization body has elected to add two new regulators to its Steering Committee from Health Canada (HC) and Swiss regulator. The East African Community (EAC) has joined the International Conference on Harmonization’s (ICH) steering committee as the sixth Regional Harmonization Initiative (RHI) member of the ICH Global Cooperation Group (GCG). EAC is the regional intergovernmental organization of the Republics of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Republic of Rwanda and Republic of Burundi with its headquarters in Arusha, Tanzania.
