Whether humans are responsible for the bulk of climate change is going to be left to the scientists, but it’s all of our responsibility to leave this planet in better shape for the future generations than we found it.” This addresses the controversy over climate change; even though many people support and advocate for taking immediate action to reduce the large footprint humans have made on the Earth, there’s just as many or more that are unwilling to do anything because whatever happens won’t occur in the current day, but instead years later. Both Al Gore and Daniel Botkin have different arguments on global warming. They are both think very similar on the same topic. Because one part of the argument is serious, and the other one is not so much. But, the point is that both of their stories are pointing out to their views on this issue. But, according to Webster Dictionary, Global Warming is when the increase in the world’s temperature that is to believe to increase by carbon dioxide. Both of the authors have a different view on this topic they have a different position, logic, and facts on what Global warming really is.

One of the most longstanding and most passionately debated topics in the scientific community today is based on conceptions of global warming. The one aspect that the scientific community seems to agree on is the fact that since the mid to late 19th century, just prior to the Industrial Age, the earth has increased its annual median temperature. Some scientific theories, however, state that this effect has largely to do with humanity's propensity for burning fossil fuels, and speculate that this tendency will wreak devastating consequences on the earth due to this fact. On the other side of the debate lies those who state that these perceived effects of global warming is a hoax, as is the effect of humanity on the earth's average median temperature,

Since the 1980’s, climate scientists have constantly been telling the public that their actions were determining the Earth’s demise. They say that the polar ice caps are melting, sea levels are rising, and 1,700 coastal cities will be underwater by 2100 (Struss). And the public believes them. Little do they know that these alarmists are mistaken. Ice levels are growing, not shrinking. In fact, in May 2014, Antarctic sea ice grew to nine million square kilometers, blowing past the previous record set in 2008. (Bastasch). This is the exact opposite of what the original climate scientists predicted, and it makes one consider what else they got wrong. Turns out, climate scientists have manipulated many of their statistics but continue to sway the public to their claims. Even though the majority of people throughout the world believe in human-induced global warming, the evidence proving this is flawed, misleading, and not well supported.

In late 2012, the Wall Street Journal published an article written and supported by sixteen scientists called, “No Need to Panic About Global Warming.” The article’s main argument claimed mainstream climate experts were wrong about the effect greater carbon dioxide levels had on the environment as well as the threat global warming posed to society. The contrarian scientists attempted to refute mainstream scientific findings that carbon dioxide levels were rising rapidly throughout the past decade and that carbon dioxide itself was a pollutant. The dissenting scientists claimed that influxes of CO2 throughout the earth’s atmosphere over time has actually been beneficial to the environment and that global warming is not the impending threat

If the issue of global climate change is not addressed properly, it will create enormous economic challenges that will create huge price tags on the global economy; that is why we need to give much attention by proposing international policy because it will bolster cooperation between countries and international organizations by formulating policies for the general good of society. Climate change plays a key role in our day to day activities. The changes in climate will affect our movement, health, agriculture productivity, air quality and average temperatures. Furthermore, it is important for countries around the world to cooperate and to propose international policies aimed at protecting the environment and minimizing the impact of global climate change because increase cooperation will limit the impact by focusing on sustainable initiatives and provide plans that will cut greenhouse gas emission globally. For example, if countries around the world are not willing to cooperate, share information and signing international agreements, change in climate will devastate humanity and our entire planet. According to Evolution’s Edge, Taylor writes,

Global warming is a terrifying thing to think about. People try to ignore it because they are afraid of what it will cause. They don’t want to accept what scientists are saying, “Humans are to blame”. I, being a future scientist, also believe that humanity is the cause of global warming. This believe of mine stemmed from a class I took in middle school that put us, students, in the shoes of United Nations members. We had to take sides on issues such as deforestation and the usage of fossil fuels. I was liberated from my ignorance and I learned that we were “killing” our planet and potentially ourselves. Although there is plenty of scientific evidence that confirms that humans are the cause of global warming, some people refuse to accept it. Global warming is no longer just a prediction it is actually happening. It is undisputed that the average temperature at the surface of Earth has increased over the past century by 1 degree Fahrenheit, with both the air and the oceans warming. Since 1880, when people in many locations first began to keep temperature records, the 25 warmest years have all occurred within the last 28 years. The problem is that if we keep on hurting our own environment and ecosystems we are just going to destroy ourselves sooner or later. If we don’t start to change the way we are doing things around the United States with our factories, the way we dispose of things, or the way we get affected by the pollution, we will see some major issues in the future. This paper will examine the problem of Global Warming in the United States. The paper will first discuss how global warming works, and why it is damaging not only our lives but the lives of the animals around the United States and other major issues. It will also address the consequences for global warming for such a long time of a period. Next the paper discusses three environmental solutions to the problem of global warming: wildlife affects, glaciers and sea levels, the weather patterns. The paper will first explain each global warming solution. Then it will analyze the pros and cons, and potential strengths and weakness of each solution. Last this paper will offer some personal observations of the
