Walton’s art center has a corporate structure, starting with a mission statement that defines the visions of the center. Further, the center has a corporate level strategy where the board of directors are orchestrating the programming and educational criteria that they envision coming to the center. Example, the JASON project, which would set the Walton Art Center apart from any other center in the nation. The JASON would be based on interactive learning. (Todd & White, 2002) Thus, giving students the “hands on” approach to education. Actually, according to Globe University the teaching technique has several educational benefits like, increased retention on program objectives, improved student confidence via personal attention and polished

Sequestered away amongst the red brick buildings of Old Louisville lies a neighborhood of colorful mansions and old world charm. Wrought iron gates enclose the private stone courtyards, and small cottage gardens decorate the verandas. The bronze fountain of Venus fills the neighborhood with the serene ambiance of water, and the gentle flicker of gas lamps light the sidewalks at night.
The Montclair Art Museum is located in Montclair, New Jersey. The museum holds various collections throughout the year and offers an outlet for students and other artists to explore within their facilities. Upon visiting, the main exhibition presented was Matisse and American Art. This exhibition held 19 pieces created by Henri Matisse and other American artists. The museum centered on central theme of Matisse and there was a specific gallery of Matisse inspired Art. In this gallery I found Untitled #8 (2014) by Mickalene Thomas is a contemporary African-American artist born January 28, 1917 in Camden, New Jersey.
“Vrrrrrrrr” sounds the fans cooling the projectors displaying video instillations of Terry Berkowitz “the last supper”. As I strolled into this gallery, I instantly thought of both “ted talks” we previously had this semester and how the artist we using rather unconventional means to portray their art. In visiting the Boca Museum Of Art I observed 3 specific pieces that tied into lessons I’ve come to learn more about in this semester.
When you picture a classroom, what do you think of? You more than likely picture a chalkboard, desks for all the students and teacher. A new way of teaching has developed that removes students from the stereotypical environment and places they in a new and engaging environment. This is experiential education.
Community service is an act of selflessness that grows a caring community. Community only consists on what it’s members are willing to contribute to it. Personally, it is my pristine pride to assist the community in it’s development it into a bountiful place for all.
My Humanities Art Experience took place at the Columbus, GA Museum, located on Wynnton Road. I really enjoyed my experience at the museum. It was my first time visiting an American museum. I saw many pieces of fine art, some of which I will list below.
Peggy 's BATNA is to sue the Smiths. While she may not wish to pursue this as a first action, it is the museum 's best alternative to acquiring the $5 million pledge should negotiations fail. The BATNA 's value is high and will have significant strength if viewed by the Smith 's as a possibility should they continue to avoid paying their debt. The court will likely see this as a contract between the parties; especially since the museum would have to claim the $5 million as income and based its growth plan on the receipt of the funds. According to Robertson and Lewis (2009).courts often weigh pledges as they do traditional contract law. However, there is no guarantee that the museum would win or that a court would not reduce the obligation due to Mr. Smith 's illness.
Many situations present the important synchronization of internal versus external negotiations. Many individuals have studied how each side in the negotiation is able to manage the internal opposition to agreements being negotiated. This can also be known as “on the table”, or what exactly is on the line in a heated argument. Each individual involve in an argument has a particular position to be managed, and often times own personal interests are widely expressed. This paper will expand upon the case of Fischer collecting needed funds from Smith with proposals and ideas for a manageable negotiation.
Overall, the theories, methods and strategies learned throughout this program have allowed me to be a better teacher in the sense that I don’t look at the whole picture anymore. I pick apart each piece of puzzle to see how I can better each student as an individual. This will let my students to become investors in their education, as well as allow me to become a better teacher.
Perhaps illness so influenced the artistic style of Van Gogh, but the picture turned out completely different to all that the artist wrote so far. This is not a Van Gogh, who was known. In the canvas, there is tension, anxiety, dense colors and warm shades of olive-mustard. On the contrary, here there is some kind of lightness, airiness, and transparent weightlessness. On the manner of execution, the pattern resembles Japanese prints: iris field full of peace, a lightness, and transparency. "Irises" are simple and unique, they are striking in their serenity and the ability to remove the internal stress of everyone who saw at least reproduction. Painting simply breathes watercolor, translucency and make to look at it more than one hour.
Teaching might even be the greatest of the arts since the medium is the human mind and spirit.” During my past career as an art teacher at Intel Academy, introducing and demonstrating aesthetic techniques and materials have thrilled me as much as completing an art piece. Through workshops and demonstrations, I learned how to communicate and suggest better ways of developing their ideas and expressions. Some children had difficulties encountering art due to their behavioral problems; however, respecting their accomplishments and encouraging their process of following the curriculum became a part of the solution. My decision to apply to masters program in art education was pursued as I faced these
The S.W.O.T. analysis for the Cinicinnati Art Museum is what gives the viewer the information to easily see what is wrong and isn’t wrong with the museum, while providing information on possibilities the museum can capitalize on and what threats could harm the museum.
Self-initiated learning is a key aspect of Rogers’ beliefs for a lasting education. He notes that when a student is fully engaged with the subject matter, they are more likely to retain the significant information they have been taught. When developing a curricular activity to represent Rogers’ experiential learning theory, we must remember to assemble a curriculum where the student can reflect on their work. As a secondary school art classroom focuses on work developed by the student, the assignments are often structured with a curriculum created by the educator. Assignments and art pieces are put in place to help the student learn the foundations of art and art history. Although students create the art pieces, they are often confined to the outline created by the teacher.
He also mentioned how this theory caused a profound impact on education and proposes a major transformation in the way our schools are run. It suggests the importance of training teachers to present their lessons in a wide variety of ways using music, cooperative learning, art activities, role play, multimedia, field trips, inner reflection, and much more.
