The European period from the beginning of the 14th century and ending 17th century were called the Renaissance years also known as the year of “rebirth”.Art was a turning point and influenced many lives from monarchy to poverty. Art has been around for centuries now, those paintings, sculptures, and even literature are coming from a human with a skill to express a strong emotion behind its creation. Numerous famous historical figures that are still known today main focus was the “rebirth” resulting amazing creativity in their work. The gallery’s main achievement is to give the students chance to spread the motivation and the diversity that the gallery lives for among different cultures as said on their website (Kean Galleries). Recently, it was remodeled into a new theme from three artists, named Susan Collett, Julie Oakes and Christian Bernard Singer. The new theme reflected in the world of nature and the gallery has every aspect you can think about natural world. In my opinion, as I first enter the gallery I couldn't choose from one figure instead I thought all the figures in some way reflected upon me. There were black boxes that went down the center of the floor each box contain partial body part of the animals now this feature ocean and land creatures.Following that, you can't miss the large paintings against the wall. It was literally the first piece you see when you enter. It caught my eyes not only because of the size, but the vibrant colors and how the structure of all the animals were either predators or prey. The artist included animals such as foxes, wolves, brown bears, rabbits, owls and plenty more but most important they also flow like if they were one unit. I believe there were three paintings against the wall, but they were each individual one of a kind. One of the paintings had a setting during night time and theme of dark and mysterious unlike the next painting besides it was daylight, brighter colors were used, which gave off a positive vibe and the atmosphere was surrounded by grass. The last one I remember seeing, but not quite sure the name of the creation, but the artist behind it was I believe Susan Collett.
