Financial managers have a job to provide clients with stock investments and portfolios that are diverse and successful. In order to provide this service they must be aware of the following:

• Background of the company
• Financial statements

Mr. Ralph Lauren has been instrumental to the company 's success. The Lauren family owns approximately 83 percent of the voting power of the outstanding common stock. Ralph Lauren Corp designs, markets, and distributes men 's, women 's and children 's apparel, accessories, fragrances, and home furnishings. Its segments include Wholesale, Retail, and Licensing.
