It all starts with Katsa, the niece of King Randa of the Middluns, She was graced, which was rare throughout the seven kingdoms, with a special ability that allows her to kill anyone, any time of day with any weapon imaginable. However as the story unfolds we see that instead of using her special skills to work as her uncle’s thug she wants to use them for helping others instead of hurting them. So, with the help of Giddon and Oll, her trusted accomplices, she sets off on a mission to rescue Prince Tealiff of the Lienid Kingdom from Murgon’s dungeon. After drugging all the guards in her way Katsa goes on clearing the path in the courtyard for Giddon and Oll so they can carry unconscious Tealiff to safety. But while finishing up the rest of the guards she encounters a Lienid man who she identifies as a graced fighter. …show more content…

After bringing the still unconscious Tealiff to Randa’s castle she brings him to her cousin Prince Raffin, Randa’s son, who knows a great deal about medicines and herbs. They hide away Tealiff in a secret chamber no one else knows he’s there except for Katsa’s council, a secret group that Katsa created to aid the seven kingdoms since the current kings weren’t doing a very good job. When the graced Lienid fighter Katsa fought shows up she discovers that he is Tealiff’s grandson and he’s not that bad. Katsa and The Council are puzzled why Prince Tealiff was kidnapped in the first place.So, after some trouble in King Randa’s court, Katsa releases herself from his power and departs with Po, the Lienid fighter, to find out what’s going on. Po and Katsa turn out to be the ideal duo and soon become much more than partners. Eventually they find out that the plans for Prince Tealiff’s kidnapping came from King Leck’s kingdom,
