The universe is uncomprehendingly vasty and there is thought to be trillions of galaxies in which trillions of stars consist within them. It is thought that intelligent extraterrestrials exist and may have visited the Earth to make contact with people. This narrative gives insight into what how these interactions can occur, if this were to ever happen. Far above the Earth’s surface, in the cold vacuum of space, a craft orbits the planet observing the life-forms that inhabit it. The craft is spherical in shape and silver in color, almost like a metal BB. The craft orbits above the Earth, undetectable by man-made machines. The object observes the dominant species transforming the planet for better and for worse; as well as intercepts …show more content…
He tries to regain signal by adjusting the dial for what seems like moments. After fiddling with dial he looks up to see a black Labrador in the middle of the road. Michael instinctually swerves to avoid hitting the dog, and ends up in a washed out drain ditch beside a field. Michael awakens confused, and extremely frightened; strapped down to a chair in a pitch black dark room. Michael starts to scream,”Who’s there!, Who are you!, What do you want from me!” Michael then transitions to crying, “ Please, I'll give you what you want. Just please let me go.” He questions the darkness like this for what seems like hours in his panicked state. He finally stops screaming and focuses on his breathing because he realizes he is having a panic attack. Over michael’s deep breathing, seeming to project from the darkness itself, a calm voice says “We just have a couple questions for you, Michael and if you answer them you will be returned to your planet”. Michael immediately retorted with, “What do you mean my planet.” A bright, white, cleansing light reveals a circular room in which Michael was sat in the center. The disembodied voice continues, “How do you work for?” Michael then take a deep breath and decides to explain what he does. He going on to say he is a lineman and he works for a Tennessee Electric Cooperative. He continues with, “Tennessee Electric Cooperatives are non-profit and provide electricity to
Why do people not tell their family or friends about their problems? In Kristen D. Randle’s “The only alien on the planet,” Ginny wanted to help Michael but Michael didn’t open up to them So they started to push him to open up and made him end up at a mental hospital. We can learn that we need to open up to our friends and family and not just keep secrets so that they can help us from The Only Alien on The Planet.
When tasked with choosing a book from the library, I decided to search for books about extraterrestrial life, and more specifically, how the SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Life) Institute is organized. For my “Writing, Rhetoric and Discourse” course, the goal for the quarter is to create a cohesive argument on any topic of our choice. While I do not have a solid argument as of now, I will be using multiple articles and documentaries to help provide my claim with evidence. However, since the quarter will be very short, I will not be able to read through numerous books for my essay. The book that I chose will be one of the few that I will read and analyze for my argument.
The spacecraft was a long way from home, beyond the orbit of the outermost planet and high
The title of my paper is called, “Life on Another Planet.” The purpose of my essay is to explore the question of do aliens exist? I explained the possibilities that there could be other life out there in space. My conclusion was that in the future scientists could discover a planet where we can move to and live in, and even meet new species of life. As a result, scientists should develop more tools
Five Billion Years of Solitude: The Search for Life Among the Stars immediately grabs its audience by suggesting the prospect of discovering life on other planets. Due to the topics nature being the premise of millions of books, television shows and movies, the possibility of other worlds being out there is very intriguing. The main goal of Five Billion Years of Solitude: The Search for Life Among the Stars by Lee Billings is to explain the quest for more information about “exoplanets” and the handful of people who devote their lives to finding them.
UFO' and Aliens have claimed to be seen all the time but few are easy to believe. A lot of people see mysterious lights somewhere. Lights are seen commonly, but when people see a “strange” light at night they might think about UFO. So many people swear to have been abducted or seen flying saucers, and some describe the same thing and have captivated with creatures from other planets. Some shows and movies of these subjects have been produced. A lot of people are curious about this subject, and this is not surprising.
The distance from the sun when inquiring about terrestrial planets is that the terrestrial planets are closer to the sun and the Jovian planets are farther away. The sizes of the Jovian planets are larger than the terrestrial planets. The atmosphere of terrestrial planets is composed of carbon dioxide and nitrogen gases, while the Jovian planets contain an abundance of hydrogen and helium gases are found in their atmosphere. The Terrestrial planets satellites are few in number. The Jovian planets, satellites are more in number. One of the main differences that are seen between terrestrial and Jovian planets is their surfaces. The terrestrial planets are made of solid surfaces, while the Jovian planets are made of gaseous surfaces. Another example
Over the years there has been questions that people are asking if we are alone. Scientists have been seeking evidence of extraterrestrial life in the past half century. There have been many sightings of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) seen by the people around the world. Scientists state that intelligent extraterrestrial life almost certainly exists.
The existence of extraterrestrial life has been a popular topic for several years. Some creatures from other planets occurred in the fantasic movies. Although some scitientists believe that extraterestrial life does not exist in the real world, I think allians exist in some other planets for two reasons.
In the universe, there are many unexplained phenomena that have happened or that are happening, that even scientists cannot explain. One may say that one of the biggest phenomenons to date is aliens. The theory of aliens has puzzled scientists for as long as man can remember.
A recent telephone study that involved 1,000 Americans concluded that 60 percent of Americans that partook in the study, believed in aliens (Malik n.p.). For the longest time, aliens were considered to be mythical stories told by campfires or in science fiction movies. Over time, people actually started to believe in these green extraterrestrial beings, thinking they rode around in UFO’s and abducted humans along the way. Aliens have been featured in many movies and tv shows throughout history. Some examples of aliens portrayed in media is the following: E.T, Aliens, and Alien Abduction, and The X-Files. Today, many people still believe in aliens; however, they do not exist. There are many details that support the argument that aliens do not exist including the following: there are no clear images that prove aliens exist, there are other explanations for claimed alien sightings and abductions, and a number of scientists who believe aliens exist are not reliable. It will take a lot more than nonfactual claims to prove that there is life beyond Earth, to prove that aliens exist. There have been no factual claims with evidence that have the power to prove that aliens exist, and until there is, they do not exist.
effort to conduct a general survey of the sky and also carry out targeted searches of 800
One of the most controversial topics is the one on unidentified flying objects (UFOs). Initially, the term UFO was used to define the identifiable anomalies that usually occur in the sky that does not conform to any presently known or familiar objects. People often relate UFOs to alien visitations, the existence of extraterrestrial life and government-related conspiracy theories. The United States Air Force developed this term in 1953. It was to replace the "flying saucer" name which was initially used to refer to such objects after 1947. Before this period, persons with a UFO experience could only describe it using specific terms related to the experience. (Westrum, 1977)
There cannot be any other option than to try with all our might to repel alien life forms from our universe. There are no real benefits that we can gain from allowing them into our homes as welcomed guests. Allowing the aliens to come and settle here would cause nothing short of our demise. Allowing an invading power to come into our territory unopposed would jeopardize our civilization as a whole. We would no longer be ourselves, for whatever it is that they bring to us, we will never be the same after their encounter. When aliens invade a foreign land their intent is not to live in harmony, but to conquer and rule. Aliens threaten our culture and way of life. They do not see us as equals, but as inferiors. They want to enslave us, ravage our land for its natural resources, rule over us and install a hierarchy, or worse, destroy all human life by inflicting diseases or viruses that our human bodies cannot handle. The alien life forms need to be destroyed by any means necessary in order to ensure our livelihood and our civilization.
I was surrounded purely by star and far away planets. I could see flying comets and their beautiful tail. I hovered in space for quite some time. I felt eyes pinned on me, but I could not tell where they came from, until a brave little star approached me. It said with its high pitched voice, “Hello, young one. What brings you here?” It had no mouth, none that I could see.
