In the book The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros, the protagonist realizes many things in chapter, The Monkey Garden. Ms, Cisneros uses imagery to contribute to the story by setting the scene for us. “Yellow spiders ran when… so many crusty lady bugs.” The quote shows us the garden the protagonist loves. It demonstrates to us, that even though it is full of bugs, she loves it.
In the book The Monkey Bridge by Lan Cao, income and social status prevent Mai and her family from all being together in the United States. On page 227, her mother Thahn writes in a letter to Mai, “How could i have told you that Baba Quan, the man I call Father, is a Vietcong from whom i am still trying to escape?” This quote shows that because Mai’s grandfather Baba Quan was a Vietcong, he wasn't able to come over to the United States during the war to be with his family because little did Mai know at the time, her grandfather was apart of this war that caused them to flee. As humans we all change and by changing, other people have to deal with it. In the novel Tangerine, Edward Bloor Introduces Paul Fisher. Big Fish produced by Tim Burton consist of much spiritual significance. For example, one might think the fish was a symbol of Christianity, because of the Jesus fish that we often see on bumper stickers, but there is one true spiritual significance. The one true spiritual significance that sticks out the most is the Christ- like figure. Edward Bloom, the main character represents the Christ- like figure in this film. Like Jesus, Edward Bloom is a storyteller who tells the stories of his father.
Heinous...inhuman...primitive- these words define the symbol of the beast in the novel Lord of the Flies by William Golding. An example would be, when Simon attempts to report that the beast isn’t real, the other boys envision Simon as a beast, soon leading them to devour him alive. In the novel the beast was represented as the inner savagery of humans and authentic human nature under no control as the beast developed and became larger, resulting in horrid actions performed by the boys.
For this essay, my chosen character is Paul Fisher. At the beginning of the novel, Paul is scared and tense. At school, Joey tells Paul how he is afraid of a lot of things and how people treat him like a dog. He mentions how he is afraid of Erik and the girls. This takes place in the present, talking about how he has problems all the time.

Her “arms seem like giant arms” and “her legs which she always got cocked open seem like ugly tree logs.” She never tried to stop Carl, her sadistic boyfriend, from abusing Precious. She never encourages Precious to do anything with her life by telling her that “school can’t help you none.” Mary defrauds the welfare system without guilt and fails to provide care to Precious in any way.
The Boy the Mole the Fox and the Horse is a book about a boy and mole that is trying to find a home and find a Fox and Horse along the way. In the book and movie, the mole says, “our greatest freedom is how we react to things.” Here are three reasons why I agree with the mole. It helps me focus on myself. You have a choice, you have a choice.

Peeto: What makes you think that the girl wants a skinny yank like you when us real blokes are here? This quote is one of the many examples of the typical “Aussie bloke” that is portrayed in the film, Red Dog. Good morning/afternoon ladies and gentlemen, I am here to suggest the film Red Dog to the Australian film festival. I strongly recommend that the film Red Dog be exemplified in the film festival since it offers a reasonable and truthful depiction of Australia given the films time period. The film like no other nails the acts of mateship, gives an impeccable image of the Australian landscape as well as a fantastic representation of the Aussie male. During the movie a strong connection is created within two main characters which in turn
