The name of the film is The Longest Ride; the location of the movie showed was in Porterville, California. The theater is called Galaxy Nine and it is a civic theater. The writer of this film is Nicholas Sparks and is directed by Barbershop Franchise producer George Tillman Jr. The main actors in the film are Luke (Scott Eastwood), Sophia (Britt Robertson), and Ira (Alan Alda). The cinematographer of this film is famous David Tattersall who is noted for the Star Wars series. The premiere was released on April 10, 2015 and I attended on April 15, 2015 at the 7:15 p.m. showing. In the film, Sophia was ready to go to New York for her internship when she gets a call that Luke got hurt on his pre-bull riding competitions and canceled her flight to New York. Then towards the end of the film Luke sacrifices not getting his championship award and publicity for winning the night for #1 top bull-rider. He decides to attend Ira’s auction since he got invited to it. I. Luke wins Sophia back, and decides to retire from bull riding to start a relationship with her. The performers did great job acting and experiencing the love they had for one and another. The audiences were really hooked and had them make connections with the performers. Luke and Sophia went thru the same shoes as Ira and his wife, but they had little in common and were also separated by the years and experience. I believe David Tattersall did a great job, being the Production Designers also collaborating with the visual effects and providing the designs necessary to maintain a coherent blend between the look of the production, cinematography and the post-production visual effects footage. Especially how the film had its flashbacks to the 50’s era with Ira and his wife, then went back to Luke and Sophia. It is really fascinating with being able to do the different era swap. I really enjoyed this film; I was really impressed how it was in produced. I was intrigued with the whole situation between two modern lovers having the same situation as other generations ago. Then having that persons love story inspire them to follow their dream. The producer did a great job showing the message of how anything is possible just having it your all and not giving
