The case I chose to write on is based on a DVD that we watched in class called ‘Beaten by a hair’. In this case, a woman was reported missing after she went to work and never returned home. After the police discovered a bloody pillow case in the woods, near her house, they linked it to the missing pillow case in the woman’s room, and then realized that they had a murder case on their hands. A mystery in the case was that one of the local neighbors had mentioned seeing the woman leave through the front door of her house but the evidence says different, so investigators had to find out who left the house that morning. I am interested in this case because it was very intriguing how the forensic officers put all the pieces
This is an attempt to unravel the tangle by an objective and empirical examination of information from crime scene and post mortem examination of the victims. Pre-digested information such as speculative newspaper reports, and statements from witnesses other than those called in a professional capacity have been avoided since theirs is largely subjective testimony that confounds more than it informs.

It was hot summer morning when Anna Garcia’s next neighbor, Doug Greene, called the police to report her. He called her to see whether she was okay because he had heard her dog excitedly barking for two hours, but when he called there was no response. When the police and EMTs arrived at Anna Garcia house, they found her lying on the ground motionless. Her house was 73 degrees Fahrenheit and unfortunately, the EMT determined that Anna Garcia was dead. The police tell the crime scene investigators and the medical examiner to figure out how Anna Garcia died.

You are investigating a murder that has occurred at the 1968 summer Olympics in Mexico. It was the 26th of October, and the Olympic games were coming to an end. That was also the day that a man named Edward Myles who was an American white male, came from Los Angeles to compete in the 800 meter dash was found dead in his hotel room. Edward has already competed in his sport and left with an awarding gold medal. His body was discovered at about 11pm by his roommate Peter Gellos who was a friend of Edwards and was competing in the same field. Edward’s whole body had many visible stabs, and he seemed to have a black eye. Edward’s most prized possession, his medal, was now missing from his nightstand. Prior to his death, Edward was seen downstairs
A child Owen Collins was found dead in the woods, in a burnt cardboard box. The child’s mother 23 year old Breanna Arnold was a meth addict. She lived with her 31 year old boyfriend Zachary S. Barnes was also addicted to meth. One day Arnold, Barnes and 16 year old Zachary Barker were at home shooting up with Owen Collins and his older brother in the next room. Zachary Barnes told the police that when Arnold went to check on the children Owen was already dead, so he decided it would be a good idea to get rid of the child’s body by wrapping him in plastic and putting him in a drawer. The next day on a Sunday Barnes and Barker put Owen into a cardboard box and rode with a woman to Marion. The woman said that she did not

“I know and you're going to be ok.” I said even though I knew he wasn't going to be ok. We all knew he was going to die in a matter of a few minutes. And during those last few minutes we had with him we prayed to the lord that he would take care of the officer and watch over us during the rest of our journey ahead. I couldn't stand there looking at his dead body so we covered it with a blanket we found in a car. Next we heard more gunshots and they wouldn't stop. There were tons of cars around us getting hit with bullets and the bullets kept bouncing off.
I began my investigation by observing the exterior and interior of the residence, for identification purposes. The residence is a one story, “mobile“home facing south at the address above.
