The Maze Runner

The maze in the Maze Runner was made to test the Gladers. They were being tested for the real world which had the Flare. The Maze is surrounding a place called the Glade. The Glade is where the Gladers live. Inside the maze there were monsters called grievers. If one got stung by a griever, they would experience “the changing”. “The changing” is when you get some memories of your past back, but once one goes through this change, they are never the same. The only way one survives the sting of a griever is to get grief serum.

Some are just poorly produced with a poor depiction of the writers idea, or others make it as exciting as the book, but fail to include major points from the book. The Maze Runner, by James Dashner, gets people excited for both the movie and book but there are still some major differences between the two. There are some parts entirely missing, and there are others that are simply just wrong.

The Maze Runner by James Dashner is about a boy named Thomas who enters the glade. The glade is full of unique cultures, different personalities, peculiar societies, boys, and most importantly, a maze. The maze is a colossal structure, with numerous walls that move every night, making it even more difficult to figure out. The maze also closes at night, this is when the Grievers come out. The grievers are metallic monsters with six legs and spongy skin, if you get stung by the grievers you will go mentally insane, and the only way to save you is the grief serum.

Research Essay- The Maze Runner The Holocaust, from 1933 to 1945, was based off of a totalitarian government as well as many other disastrous events. Adolf Hitler was in charge of a totalitarian government and was very successful when it came to getting what he wanted. He was so successful, that he almost managed to take out the entire race of Jewish people.

Buck was a king at his home and would lay in the sun all day. A greedy gardener sneaks buck out and sells him to a sled dog “middle man”. Then buck gets sold to a man in a red sweater and takes a club to the jaw. Then Perrout and Frances buy him and they talk about bucks great worth. This sounds unbelievable but in the book the Maze Runner, this crazy tale comes true. Thomas is a 16-year-old boy who woke up in an elevator and all he heard was CLICK CLICK CLICK. ☺ It was the sound of the elevator moving up, and it was pitch black so he was unable to see anything.

Maze Runner has been a New York best-selling novel that has been adapted into a movie because of it’s popularity among readers. As appealing as this book may sound, I still believe that it shouldn’t be read in English classes. I don’t believe that it should be read in English classes because it doesn’t have very much depth, isn’t particularly unique, and it is too melodramatic.

With his new friend Chuck, Thomas tries to learn why he is in the Glade and why no one will answer his questions. He later learned that the only way out of the Glade was through the giant ivy maze. The ivy maze was more complicated than any other maze because it was protected by Grievers, (giant robot forms that can easily kill a person) and every night the maze walls rearranged, making the maze different every day. Immorality has become the “front runner” (as it pertains to the pernicious things that are permeating throughout the world) for the tenacious decline that has taken this world by storm. One might easily say that, “This has been the case for ions of years” and it might very well be the case. Nevertheless, not since biblical times (speculative speaking) has there been such an outright, disrespectful, arrogant, and “out in the open” type of way that the world seems to be sinfully living. It almost appears that Situation Ethics has become the new “mandate”, and the Bible is now being viewed as “archaic”, or not applicable to anyone today! This is one of the leading NGOs that raise homeless and displaced children from all over Pakistan and has centers in all the big cities. Their main office is in Lahore where I worked as a volunteer. They take complete responsibility of shelter, food, clothing and education of these children. Being part of a team of volunteers, I assisted in fundraising for children by organizing various carnivals and music festivals.
