Wisdom and Christ Jesus Christ is the wisdom of God. First, let us see who is wise in the Old testament? 1. Being teachable. Proverbs10:17 “He is on the path of life who heeds instruction, But he who ignores reproof goes astray.” Try to be humble before all the people. Because God even uses “jerks” to teach you something. 2. Being discreet. Pro19:11 “A man’s discretion makes him slow to anger, and it is his glory to overlook a transgression.” 3. Ready to forgive. Ecclesiastes 7:21-22 “Also, do not take seriously all words which are spoken, so that you will not hear your servant cursing you. For you also have realized that you likewise have many times cursed others.” 4. Being self-control. “For why should you, my son, be exhilarated with an adulteress; And embrace the bosom of a foreigner? For the ways of a man are before the eyes of the Lord, and He watches all his paths.” (Proverbs5:20-21) We should be self-control with the tongue, eating, alcohol, etc. 5. Being committed to discipline. Proverbs22:6 says, “Train up a child [d]in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it.” We also need to discipline our children since they are little. We cannot guarantee our kids do right, but we can guarantee our kids know right and the gospel. 6. Being diligent. “A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest”—Your poverty will come in like a vagabond; and your need like an armed man. (Proverbs6:10-11) 7. Has proper
“Only in a world where faith is difficult can faith exist.” -Lee Strobel in The Case for Christ. This to me is a very interesting and profound quote. To the best of my ability I try to thinking logically. For in a world filled with people who are driven not because of reason, logic, or coming to a conclusion, more people need to be more intentional rather than the focus on just being louder. This 46 letter quote has challenged me more than most of the book.
"But what if I'm innocent?” you might ask. The answer is simple. Matthew 5:25 says to, "Come to terms quickly with your accuser." Other versions of the Bible say to, "Agree with your adversary." When I sought the Lord about this, I had trouble admitting that I was wrong for something I didn't do. The Lord simply told me, "I died on the cross for things I didn't do and took the blame for you.” After He said that, I understood accusations are broken through humility and we don't have to always be right. Many times I would tell my accusers, or people who were bringing accusations against me, that I was sorry and I would ask their forgiveness even if I wasn’t wrong. You might say, "That's not fair!" It also wasn't fair for Jesus to die on the cross for my sins when I should have paid for them and not Him, but I could never pay that kind of debt. Sometimes we need to be the example of humility to others so they can see the Bible in living color through our lives as we demonstrate how to forgive and ask for forgiveness. It stops the accusations from hell coming at you. It will bring peace and restoration faster than anything. The hard part is humbling yourself to that level. I can guarantee it will get the devil off your back. Even if you are innocent in the situation, the judgment
Discipline is ‘The practice of training people to obey rules or a code of behaviour’.
So what does the New Testament have to say about wisdom? Jesus spoke about wisdom with some of his parables. The parable of the wise and foolish builders is interpreted to be about obeying the word of the Lord. The wise man who builds his house on the rock with a foundation is the one who listens and obeys God's word. The foolish builder does not listen to God's word and he builds his house on the sand with no foundation. The parable of the rich fool tells us to avoid greediness and be giving and store up heavenly treasures rather than earthly ones. Lastly there is the parable of the 10 virgins. Some of them were not wise enough to bring enough lamp oil for the night. So when the bridegroom came, the virgins were away to find more oil. Meaning that a wise man will be ready for Christ's return.
Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. (Eph. 6:4, English Standard Version)
This one quote snatched my attention. Signifying every being holds or has held a misdeed deep inside of themselves. This in my perspective links to the quote cited in article 3- line 8 “Or he actually did commit adultery and feels bad, but wants everyone to know even though he may be a leader he is also still a human, meaning humans accidentally sin by nature”. I’m amazed on how, just because a person is in a certain role in a religious scale doesn’t mean they struggle with the act of committing
Most importantly, the bible tells us that we should forgive others, and not hold their sins against them. In Ephesians 4:32, it states that we must "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as Christ forgave you." This
Forgive yourself and forgive others in Ephesians 4:31-32 it’s said “Get rid of all bitterness, passion, and anger. No more shouting or insults, no more hateful feelings of any sort. Instead, be kind and tender-hearted to one another, and forgive one another, as God has forgiven you through Christ.” The truth is, hate comes in many forms, and these forms of hate can have an impact not only on yourself but your family and friends.
For example, in Proverbs 10:4-5, we see that working hard will lead us to a better life, but slacking off will cause us shame.
Discuss the distinction between the Christ of Faith and the Jesus of History. What are the implication did it have within our social location
P1. Jesus touchs each of our lives in different ways, his desire for each of us is to know who He is.Though Jesus would love for each of us to have an insightful persecutive of who he is, the reality is the perspectives from individuals very. Jesus does not pressure the dynamics of having him as the ultimate source of our lives, despite the fact he awaits upon us all to proactively invite him into our lives. The wisdom we formulate around knowing who God is, will establish the characteristics of how we portray Him."To demonstrate God's love, Jesus defended from the Father and worker toward his "hour," time of his suffering and death on behalf of the world." P.290 Our efforts of understanding who Jesus is will determine the standards of how our faith with God will grow. Eventhough faith is a significant element to the formulation of believing in Christ, proception, disarmament and impression of Jesus is what will ultimately establish the formation of faith.

Wisdom Tradition is a term applied to the Old Testament books of Proverbs, Job, Sirach, Wisdom of Solomon, and Ecclesiastes. Wisdom Tradition books all share characteristics and points of view that are somewhat different than other biblical books. Wisdom tradition has very prominent characteristics from other books in the Old Testament such as a search for the goal of life, how to master it and questioning the problems of life, showing interest to human experiences that affect all people, joy of creativity and creation, and very little interest in the great acts of divine salvation. These qualities appear in a few books in the Old Testament. All of them show wisdom, but only some show both wisdom and tradition. Books such as Proverbs, Job, Ecclesiastes values the beauty of creation and the confidence of human life and nature. This was a new concept to Israel. They learned about wisdom tradition through other nations. They were influenced from Mesopotamian literature and took their ideas of meditations of sufferings and God’s justice into their Old Testament Books. Suffering can be seen in Job, but in the next essay and upcoming classes, we will be relating this to women suffering. The wisdom perspectives did not replace the other two major strands of thought in Ancient Israel, that of prophets and priests. It was simply a different focus that was complementary with the other perspectives presented in the Bible.
An angel appeared before a woman named Mary and stated to her that she would give birth to a son. She would name her son Jesus. Mary being a virgin gave birth to a child, conceived by God through his Spirit. Jesus being conceived in a supernatural manner became man and God in one creation. God became incarnate in this child who became known by the name of Jesus (Mathew 1:18-25) . Jesus was a Palestinian Jew, born in a town south of Jerusalem, raised in Nazareth in a small village in Galilee. Jesus was not any ordinary child. Jesus was the son of the living God. Not only was He the son of Mary, He was foremost the Son of God. He was incarnated sent to us for the redemption of all mankind. So how do we handle the incarnation of God?
Discipline is very important in our daily life. We have to follow lots of rule every single day. Once we don't keep in a right
