Work study is a term for techniques, particularly method study and time study, which are used for the examination of human work in all its contexts, and which lead systematically to investigation of all the factors which affect the efficiency and economy of the situation being reviewed, in order to seek Improvement in performance & productivity.
Work study analyzes the work done in an organization and aims at finding the best and the most efficient way of utilizing the available resources (man, material, money and machinery to achieve best possible quality work in minimum possible time.
Work Study is the systematic examination of the methods of carrying out activities such as to improve the effective use of resources and to set up standards of performance for the activities carried out.
With the help of the work study technique we can analyze the whole process, identify the unnecessary movements & process which we can reduce or eliminate. Work study normally involves, a) Method study, b) Time study,
