The mind and the brain differ from each other. The brain is our physical organ that is attached to our body. The mind is intangible in that it holds our thoughts, feelings, and imagination. It is the invisible object that allows us to apprehend to our surroundings. Everyone interacts with the environment differently from others; which does not make them abnormal in their community. People who are labeled with a disorder should be considered normal because they connect with society at their own pace. People who are autistic communicate with others through their actions. Individuals who have the autism spectrum disorder possess difficulties in reading, writing, socializing, and recognizing the emotions of others. In “Mindblindness”, Ann Jurecic states “We can never fully comprehend the perceptions and experiences of others” (Jurecic 409). People who cannot understand the pain of another are considered normal, why not autistic individuals? People that are normal are not perfect in learning every subject in their academic career. Autistic individuals express themselves through their above - average intelligence. Autistic people learn how to read and write leading them to attend college. They are very inquisitive of asking questions
