The mission of Saint Thomas Health is that each facility is committed to serving all persons with special attention to those who are poor and vulnerable. Saint Thomas is a Catholic health ministry and is dedicated to spiritually-centered holistic care which sustains and improves the health of individuals and communities (Mission Integration, n.d.). Saint Thomas takes pride in being advocates for a compassionate and just society through their actions and their words.

Saint Thomas promotes and participates in various community activities and has established community partnerships. By promoting and partnering with members of the community, Saint Thomas is able to share its values through these partnerships. The “core values” are service to the community, reverence, integrity, wisdom, creativity, and dedication (Mission Integration, n.d.). The first core value of “service to the poor – generosity of spirit especially for persons most in need” and this is deeply rooted through the founders of the Daughters of Charity Saints Vincent de Paul and Louise de Marrilac. These traditions help to seek growth in thoughtfulness, warmth, humility, selflessness and understanding.
