The most harmfully species is the brown tree snake because they will bite some children when they are playing out side the snake will not let go of the children the make them died because of the bite.
which venomous snake is best known? Yep, you guessed it, the King Cobra (or as scientists call it Ophiophagus Hannah or snake-eater!!). Did you know that King Cobra are the only snake to lay eggs that they guard with all their life . They can also raise ⅓ of there body off the ground. They raise their body of the ground to make themselves look bigger to scare off enemies. The also hold a world record for longest tongue and they are not the most venomous snake in the world? They just eject the most venom into their prey.
The infographic, ”Deadliest Animals,” from the World Health Organization, which informs people about some of the most deadly animals in the world, shows me that I should be more weary and careful when I am outside or visiting a foreign place. Some of the information of this infographic show me that everyday animals such as worms, snails, snakes, mosquitos, and even us as humans are a few of the world's most deadly creatures. It also shows readers that many animals that have very bad and dangerous connotations such as sharks, wolves, lions, hippopotami, and even crocodiles are not as dangerous and deadly as many people would assume, on the contrary, these animals are actually at the bottom of the list, having very small anual kill rates compared
The Burmese Python is one of many invasive species. These snakes are native the Southeast Asia. They were imported to the U.S. for pet trade. However, people who own these snakes sometimes don't realize they can grow up to 22ft and weigh up to 200 pounds. The size of these snakes prohibits them from being appropriate pets. As a result these animals are released into the wild. Not only does this affect the ecosystem, but it also affects the mammal and bird populations. In the
A species that is introduced to an ecosystem by humans can harm ecosystems in many ways. Animals that are introduced into a new area, could hunt a main food source for some animals, causing that population to decrease. Plants could be poisonous, or need to feed off of other plants. Species introduced into an ecosystem by humans through off the natural balance of the wildlife.
than usually destroy the environment they are introduced to. Take the cane toad for example; this is an invasive species problem that is currently occurring in the United States. The cane toad (Rhinella marina), is a species that is native to South America, Central America, Mexico, and southwestern Texas. The cane toad began to become introduced in Florida, Hawaii, and even Louisiana. Originally, they were let out around sugar cane plantations in order to eliminate pests that ate the cane. Eventually they “escaped” and people began to keep them as pets and in their backyards. The cane toad preys on and can sometimes compete with native species due to having similar niches. The cane toad also secretes a toxic chemical from its skin, which is extremely poisonous for common household pets, including dogs, cats and birds (Hardman).
Invasive species make bad situations into worse situations. Having a species from a different ecosystem makes them invasive species. Such as a toad or even bacteria being in another ecosystem other than their natural habitat.
Pythons, wild pigs, and red foxes are all very scary to other animals and to humans. Throughout the years many people in the U.S have brought different invasive animals that can hurt the ecosystem they live in and can cause a serious problem with endangered species. Invasive species came into the U.S’s eyes earlier in the day and the problem could either be getting better or worse. These animals are all over our U.S including Texas and Florida etc. Invasive species are a problem and there are many creative ways the problem is being addressed.
There are many different species of snakes in the U.S that are all important to the ecosystem, but there are some that don’t belong here and they are now considered invasive species. I believe that the Burmese python has had a massive impact to the Everglades National Park located in Florida.
They do not think what the snake is going to do the actual native animals. It kills a whole bunch of species.
Even though Burmese Pythons are invasive species and are an endangerment, they can also be a beneficial factor. The article, “Pythons Eating Through Everglades Mammals at ‘Astonishing’ Rate?” , states that, some animals may benefit from the python such as, raccoons. In paragraph 16, raccoons keep the reptiles egg’s down. So even though pythons are non-native and are a dangerous species, they can also be a benefit to the environment.
Pythons are the most dangerous animals to the environment because a lot of animals have been missing because the pythons are hurting a lot of animals. Animals such as rabbits, opossums, raccoons, foxes, and even
First, diet, weather on purpose or not non indigenous species can harm the environment. When the Balsam Woolly Adelgids were accidentally imported from Europe to the United States, they fed, killing thousands of Balsam Fir trees. Leaving many once rich forests, dead. All of which could have been easily prevented with proper checks of the cargo and/or research done on what they would eat in the foreign land.
If you have every wondered how many animals kill humans in a year or how many people kill each other in a year than you should read the article “Deadliest Animals.” The question is how reliable is this article. The infographic, “Deadliest Animals,” from the the World Health Organization lists animals from least amounts of deaths to the highest numbers of deaths, informs the reader what animals to avoid and on the lower side what animals aren’t so dangerous. The reliability of the article is questionable because how does this Article know how many people kill each other in a year because there are places in the world that we don’t know about (North Korea). We also don’t know what year this was made in by looking at the source. The amounts of
Exotic animals can easily become endangered animals. According to current estimates, a third of the world’s amphibians, one in eight birds, and a quarter of all mammals are endangered. (“Endangered Species”). On average, there are twenty-three states in the United States of America alone that allow you to legally own an exotic animal, and twelve of those you do not even need a permit to acquire them (Loria). This increases the chance of fatality, malnourishment, being endangered, extinction and other issues. Exotic animals being kept can also endanger humans while being in harm's way themselves. Examples of some popular exotic animals some people might not consider exotic are snakes, birds, monkeys, big cats, and turtles. Turtles are the most endangered in the vertebrate groups due to the pet trade. This is because once you get a turtle, you cannot release it again or else it will not survive. Second, big cats are extremely popular in the US. There are around 10,000 tigers being kept as pets. This means there are more tigers kept as pets than in the wild. Statistically, since 1990 there have been 21 human deaths, 246 maulings, and 143 wild-cat deaths in captivity. Next, monkeys are also incredibly popular. Monkeys can carry various diseases such as Herpes B-Virus, Monkeypox, Ebola, and many more. Owning a monkey is bad for the monkey and for the owner. Additionally, there are over 150,000 parrots smuggled into the U.S. every year. Birds are meant to fly and be free, not to have their wings clipped and be confined into a tiny space. They have lost their whole life, and freedom so they can be called “pretty bird” and fed little pellets. Lastly, are the snakes. Snakes are everywhere around the world, ranging in color, shape, size, and species. In the last decade, more than 12 people have been killed from boa constrictor incidents, and with even more injuries. Snakes are also very dangerous to humans. Not only do a lot of
There have been five well known extinctions on this earth. The one most well known is the mass extinction that ended the dinosaurs. Mass extinction is often described as the elimination of a large number of species in a short period of time. Despite what many think, the elimination of species is almost commonplace at this point. The Earth is currently in the middle of a sixth mass extinction, and it’s been caused by the human race.
