Technology is a key factor in how the economy flows, and is a very important part of a typical person’s daily life. The use of technology over the years has increased by a very large amount. Technology is a part of everyone’s daily life. It is used in the classrooms, offices, automobiles, and just about anywhere that comes to mind. There are many positive effects of technology, but there are also many negative effects. The use of such technology makes everything more simple. In todays’ world interaction between two people is done through text messaging, emails, and social media. There is a loss in communication skills between people in a society. It is much easier to send a text message to a coworker than it is to meet with them in person. Technology may have decreased communication skills, but it has increased the production and efficiency of the workplace. “Technology advances show people a more efficient way to do things, and these processes get results.(Chron)” Tasks that use to take more than ten people to accomplish now are automated by a computer. This greatly improves efficiency since each person is given a different task. Instead of ten people doing one task, ten people can accomplish ten different tasks. Technology has not only changed the workplace, but it has also changed the way students are educated. Everything in education revolves around technology and the internet. Most books are online and most assignments are submitted online. According to Chron, students are able to learn on a global scale without ever leaving their classroom. A student can learn anything they want to. The lengths to which they can learn are endless.
